NEW BUSINESS

As the spokesman for the Nominating Committee was not present at this time the meeting was turned over to the speaker. Charles Upton reported on the history of the property where the Cambridge Glass Co. was and is located from 1801 through 1980.

Sue Rankin reported the Nominating Committee had met on December 9 at the home of Chairman Robert Coyle. Nominated were Don Armbrecht, Avon Lake, Ohio; George Hoffman, Newark, Ohio; and Joe Andrejcak, Lakewood, Ohio. Board Members whose terms end in 1980 are, Don Armbrecht, George Hoffman and Jack Rettig.

President Smith asked for any nominations from the floor.

Lynn Welker nominated Jack Rettig.

Lynn Welker suggested that since the nominating committee had not contacted Jack Rettig, for the membership not to approve their proposal.

After a lengthy discussion Mr. Rettig was contacted and stated that since he was not approved by the nominating committee he wished to withdraw from the floor nomination.

Larry Hughes nominated Bill Turner from Zanesville, Ohio.

A motion was made by Ed Trindle to close the nominations. Motion carried.

President Smith reported Marilyn Estock, whose father and mother were employees of the Cambridge Glass Co., had donated a Union Transfer Certificate dated 1936 to the Museum.

Lynn Welker did the "Show and Tell" program and then announced the glass additions to the Auction catalog. He then thanked Jo Barstow, Jan Hughes and Bill Harbaugh for their assistance on the Auction.

Willard Kolb auctioned off a #1066 stem amber ivy ball to benefit the Museum Fund. Norma Kilinger was high bidder at $19.00. \

Ruby Landman won the door prize and donated it back to the club.

A motion was made by Steve Horner to adjourn at 10:15 PM.
