The communication should be effective in the three markets (TZ, Ug, Rw), hence the need for a connecting message in all communication.
Portray a shy approach that NMG is BIG and move away from any patronizing perception. Show `talkability’ of the NMG brand as a whole and its attributes.
The visual representation for TVC, print & documentary to be nospecific to any particular brand.
BTL
Enhance the campaign theme `Grow with East Africa’s Premier Media House’’ by creating an iconic design on the slogan making it prominent.
Ensure that the NMG corporate logo application adheres to the ,manual guidelines.
For all creative adopt minimise on the blue colour and adopt the designs based on brochure graphics.
Each item, one flag to appear for a particular country.
Do away with dates indication and MG image on all materials.
Creative Approach The creative approach emphasizes the use of NMG brands as vehicles to convey the
cross-listing message also serving to display the expansive business entities/interests that NMG have across the East African region.
The overall approach also boasts of NMG’s attributes and heritage.
TVC
The role of the TVC focuses on dramatising the way East Africans across the region engage with the various NMG brands Newspapers, radio, TV and online communication mediums.
The execution demonstrates the fact that NMG is a regional brand by:
Direction 1
– Employing mastheads to represent the various publications in the specific countries.
Direction 2
– Showing East Africans enjoying NMG brands in the various settings.
Radio
The communication serves to create anticipation and generate excitement by informing the public about the cross listing `Good News’.

TVC – 30 sec
Video Audio
We open on a newspaper shot from above. As the voice over is delivered, the pages turn to reinforce the spoken word. Unlike in print, some of the visuals will be moving video images.
Ambient music and appropriate sfx to compliment the action.
We open on the cover of a newspaper. On the cover is a headline that says Good News for East Africans.” As the page turns we see a story on East Africa’s economic potential. On the opposite page is a feature of a popular East African entertainer.
Throughout East Africa, the Nation Media Group is synonymous with the best in world-class news and entertainament.
We turn the page and we see the NMG centre. We cut inside and into the Radio studio – showing the presenters. Cut to shot of award winning journalists.
And through our 50yr plus history, we have grown as a company in both size and sturture - becoming the pre-iminent media house of the region.
Turn page and cut to regional pictures – The Monitor coming off the press, Mwananchi being sold by a vendor, NTV Uganda studios with news presenters.
And now East African nationals in Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda have a chance to share in our succes.
