Dear Human Resources Director:

I am very interested in the Marketing position currently available. The information of the position was obtained via online portal. I think my educational, employment and life experiences will allow me to be considered for this position.

My education in marketing was obtained through course work at Western Michigan University leading up to the issuance of my Bachelor degree. As part of my education in Spring 2010 my team was the Marketing Strategy Case Competition winner. Following graduation I studied in Japan and Thailand for a Global Business Short Term Study Aboard program. My education and collective experiences have created my diverse foundation which I bring to the company.

Before deciding on a business degree I worked toward my Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Imaging. Within this degree I was required to learn the Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop programs. Additional courses required working with the program Quark as well.

Previously, I was the Vice President of Pumpkinfest of the South Lyon Area, (volunteer position). As part of this position I constructed and implemented a strategic marketing and advertising campaign. In addition to marketing, the executive board planned, organized, coordinated and executed all events and personnel for the three day festival. As a member of the board I also created sponsorship literature, redesigned and provided maintenance for the website as well as handlingall communications with sponsors and media outlets.

I am confident that my knowledge and experience, along with my dedication and desire to continually learn will make me an excellent addition. I would greatly appreciate an opportunity to meet with you and review this position and my background in detail.
