ConceptUse the ICE tool to measure the area of the 2002 collapse of the Larsen B Ice Shelf and the resulting change in albedo.

Look up/calculate the solar zenith angle at various times of the day and year, and calculate the net energy flux (in watts/m2 and in total watts) into the earth system since the collapse.

Speculate on the broader impact melting elsewhere might have.

PROCESS: Develop a plan for implementation, with LOTS of discussion as to the assumptions we’ve made, and the validity/value of our calculations.
