PECO 0/16.5 LOCO KITS The THREE kits in this range are all old favourites with 7mm narrow gauge modellers. All consist of easy to assemble whitemetal castings for the complete loco body of a well known loco type. For each body BRANCHLINES manufactures a scale chassis kit specifically for that loco. These are all etched in nickel silver, are designed for reasonable ease of assembly and are complete with a 5-pole Mashima „can‟ motor, simple Branchlines gearbox, nickel silver wheels and all screws, wire, etc. needed to complete a working loco. Each chassis has designed-in compensation to ensure all driving wheels stay firmly on the track at all times to give reliable slow running. The chassis kit for “Talyllyn” has new, specially commissioned, correct pattern driving wheels of RP.25/110 profile with nickel silver rims.

BRANCHLINES MANNING WARDLE 0-4-0ST “BUSY BEE”

This totally complete loco kit is only available directly from BRANCHLINES. It is based on the Woolwich Arsenal Manning Wardles as well as that company‟s B/C class loco‟s. The chassis is our popular, compensated “Eagle” chassis in its outside frame form and is complete with 5-pole Mashima motor, Romford gears and wheels. The main body parts are whitemetal castings and all the finely detailed fittings are lost-wax brass castings of standard M/Wardle fittings. The colonial style roof is etched brass and was fitted to industrial site loco‟s whereas contractors loco‟s were usually without a roof. Etched brass worksplates and nameplates are included for “Busy Bee”, “Flying Flea”, “Hannibal” and “Hercules”. This loco is equally well suited to quarry, factory

FORD „T‟ RAIL CAR - the first in this range is an accurate model of the

Tralee & Dingle Railway engineer‟s inspection car. Though the prototype was for 3ft gauge, the model looks well on 16.5 and has been modified by customers

FORD „T‟ RAIL TRUCK - this is a free-lance design of a „might have

been‟, based on the car, above. The cab and Ford radiator are identical, but the truck section represents steel braced timber construction. Also included is a tool

FORD RAIL BUS - this is the latest in this range and is an as

accurate as possible model of the Col.. Stephens vehicles used on a number of minor standard gauge railways in the U.K. It is available as either a standard „O‟ (32mm) gauge kit or as an 0/16.5 one. As the prototypes ran as two buses, back-to-back, we offer either a double kit (one powered plus one un-powered vehicle) or a single powered vehicle kit (please state your requirements). Since producing the kit we have heard of an almost identical vehicle in New Zealand, newly restored and running on a 3‟ 6” gauge line. The standard, „O‟ gauge kit includes Slater‟s wheels, the narrow gauge kit has Romford wheels, both having suitable etched overlays.

BRANCHLINES “EAGLE” LOCO CHASSIS KIT We initially designed this kit as a better alternative to the Dapol “Pug” chassis recommended for use in the Springside “River” and “Plantation” series of body kits. It is to the same high standard of construction, quality and ease of assembly as the chassis we make for Peco‟s loco‟s with fold-up, nickel silver main components, brass cross-heads, Gibson wheels, 5-pole Mashima motor,

Romford gears and all screws, wire, etc. required to complete it. It has designed-in compensation for good slow running through point work. The basic “Eagle” chassis kit produces an inside frame unit. A conversion kit is available to convert it into an outside

frame unit with appropriate new cylinders and motion bracket. The “Eagle” chassis has been successfully fitted to many other bodies such as Wrightlines quarry Hunslets and Barclay „A‟ class and scratch built loco‟s.

7MM LOCO SUPER-DETAILING PACK This ALL-BRASS pack was originally produced with the Springside “Rivers” in mind, but has since proved extremely popular for enhancing loco‟s from all other manufacturers as well as scratch-built models. It includes the following: reversing lever, handbrake, water gauge, pressure gauge, Ramsbottom safety valve, 2 smokebox lubricators, smokebox door handle, 3 different clack valves and 4 handrail knobs. When combined with some copper wire for pipework a loco looks very realistic.

7MM “CHOPPER”

COUPLINGS + SIDE CHAINS These represent our improved, second design with the more common, round buffing face and a slotted base to reduce the chance of unwanted, accidental uncoupling. All main components are etched in 0.5mm brass (“choppers”, housing and buffing face) as well as side, safety chain hooks and eyes for the buffer beam. Blackened chain is provided to complete the latter. Each pair contains 2 couplings and 4 side chains and eyes, for one loco or vehicle. We sell them in either one pair or 5 pair packs.

BRANCHLINES CLOGHER VALLEY COACH KITS These all etched brass kits produce very attractive end-balcony, bogie tramway coaches. They are accurate models of the C.V.R.‟s two types of coach, the shorter first class (later third) and longer third or composite (can be built as either). In 7mm scale these finish at 165mm and 207mm long, respectively, over headstocks. The prototypes were built in 1887 and used until 1942 when the line closed. These Metropolitan built coaches were clearly designed for sale to railways of various gauges, probably around the World as the bogies are of generous width and will accommodate all popular model track gauges. Castings are not included (we suggest 3 ABS torpedo vents and a vacuum cylinder). Romford 14mm Mansell pattern wheels are appropriate plus a length of our 2mm tube. 4-WHEEL TRAMCAR OR TRAMWAY COACH KITS

These all brass kits are essentially freelance though based on Irish designs. They are intended to be as versatile as possible, each kit including two tram driving ends as well as two coach end balcony ends. A powered kit includes a Tenshodo “spud” RTR motor bogie which may be hidden by the “skirts”. An unpowered kit

includes Romford 14mm coach wheels which are fitted to the fold down W-irons, but may still be fitted with skirts as a dummy tram if preferred. The headlights and roof oil lamps are brass

NARROW GAUGE RAIL FIXINGS These etched brass items may be used either as a slide on chair for flat-bottomed rail (Peco code 75 or 85) or as a base plate for spiked track, using plywood or PCB sleepers.
