*****Please remember to vote in tomorrow's Special Town Election***** OVERRIDE VOTE - WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1, 2011 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM @ Narragansett Regional Middle School Gym _________________________________________________________ Templeton Ballot Question: Shall the Town of Templeton be allowed to assess an additional $746,820.00 in real estate and personal property taxes for the purpose of funding the Narragansett Regional School District budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011? **A YES VOTE MEANS - THE NRSD SCHOOL BUDGET WILL BE FULLY FUNDED FOR FISCAL YEAR 2012 **A NO VOTE MEANS - $900,000 IN ADDITIONAL CUTS WILL HAVE TO BE MADE TO THE NRSD BUDGET If the override does not pass, the following cuts will be made: close East Templeton Elementary School 4.5 elementary teachers 1.5 guidance staff 2 high school teachers 2 middle school teachers 1 special education teacher 1 nurse, 1 secretary, 1 custodian 3 paraprofessionals student athletic/activity fees instituted - $150 per sport per child with a $600 family cap each year HOW MUCH WILL MY TAXES INCREASE IF THE OVERRIDE PASSES? TEMPLETON $150,000 home will increase $135 per year $220,000 home will increase $297 per year PHILLIPSTON $150,000 home will increase $123 per year $220,000 home will increase $180 per year ***PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO ANY TEMPLETON OR PHILLIPSTON RESIDENT***
