SCHOOL BANDOur school band plays a pivotal role in the cultural pro-gram offered at Narrabri Public School. Mrs Rosemary Smith is our band co-ordinator and does a wonderful job with teaching and mentoring our students. Our band plays at many school and community functions and it is lovely to see so many junior members wanting to be a part of this opportunity offered at our school. This week our band students have been invited to attend Bandlink at The Crossing Theatre. This is a wonderful op-portunity for our students to engage with other talented musicians.

NEWSLE T TERCANTEEN NEWSWe have our new Healthy Canteen menu underway now. There has been a little bit of confusion about the (E) and (O) ratings and when they are available. Everything on the menu is available everyday except those things listed under the DAILY SPECIALS heading (which are available on the appropriate days) i.e sausage rolls - Mon-day, Pies - Tuesday, etc.The Education department has asked us to rate all the menu items - we need to have the most everyday foods (E) - foods that are OK to eat each day. We can have some occasional foods (O) on our menu everyday - the O rating is so that you as a family can make an informed choice about what your children are eating. The old canteen ratings were Green - everyday, Amber - sometimes foods and Red - special treats. This new menu has Green and Amber choices. It would really help us out if you can order from the new menu. All the new pricing will start this week Last week there were some items we kept at the same prices that will have to be charged out at the increased prices from now on.A big thank you goes out to Ms Shoobert who caught the message on our facebook page and donated us supplies of cheese and crackers for our snack cups. A very practical helping hand for the canteen. Our other available snack cups include Jelly cups, vegie and dip cups, and we have freshly made popcorn too.Phone Orders - If your children forget to pick up their or-ders at home and you want to phone them into make sure they get lunch you need to know that payment has to come in that day or the next. To also help Nikki and I out you need to phone in before 8:30am (shutters up) or after 9:20am (bell time). That 50 minute time slot is very busy here in canteen and we don’t always have time to answer the phone and write a lunch bag out.Thank you to everyone for your support, especially through this transition to a new menu.

Call canteen on 6792 1925.Thank you
