My role as “Momentum Lead Coach” is one of the favourite parts of my job. In this role, I support and coach staff that are new to YFC/YU and starng on the journey of Ministry Partner Development. I don’t claim to be an expert or to have mastered “Ministry Partner Development” but I am available to walk along side and offer accountability and prayer. I feel a lot like C. S. Lewis as he writes his Reflec- ons on the Psalms: “I write for the unlearned about things in which I am unlearned myself. It oſten happens that two schoolboys can solve difficules in their work for one another beer than the master can. … The fellow-pupil can help more than the master because he knows less. The difficulty we want him to explain is one he has recently met. The expert met it so long ago that he has forgoen. … In this book, then, I write as one amateur to another, I am “comparing notes” not presuming to instruct.” In the same way, when I talk to a Momentum parc- ipant, I speak as one amateur to another, comparing notes and learning from them along the way. I was talking to one Momentum parcipant recently and telling her how excited I was about the ministry that was happening in her chapter. She reminded me that I play a part in that ministry because of my role as coach. If I play even a small part in encouraging and giving staff tools to raise up a partnership team, I have made an impact on young people across Canada. Thanks to your support I have been able to walk along- side 35 Momentum parcipants since November. Shawn...connues to serve as a chaplain in two part-me posions. He has completed two courses at Wycliffe this year and a cerficate program at Tyndale on “Death and Dying.” He encounters people everyday dealing with death and engages with them with dignity and love. Thank you for praying for Naomi and her family as she serves with YFC Canada and seeks to help shape a

healthy, sustainable structure and culture.

My role as “Momentum Lead Coach” is one of the favourite parts of my job.

In this role, I support and coach staff that are new to YFC/YU and starting on the journey of Ministry Partner Development. I don’t claim to be an expert or to have mastered “Ministry Partner Development” but I am available to walk along side and offer accountability and prayer. I feel a lot like C. S. Lewis as he writes his Reflec-tions on the Psalms:

“I write for the unlearned about things in which I am unlearned myself. It often happens that two schoolboys can solve difficulties in their work for one another better than the master can. … The fellow-pupil can help more than the master because he knows less. The difficulty we want him to explain is one he has recently met. The expert met it so long ago that he has forgotten. … In this

book, then, I write as one amateur to another, … I am “comparing notes” not presuming to instruct.”

In the same way, when I talk to a Momentum partic-ipant, I speak as one amateur to another, comparing notes and learning from them along the way.

I was talking to one Momentum participant recently and telling her how excited I was about the ministry that was happening in her chapter. She reminded me that I play a part in that ministry because of my role as coach. If I play even a small part in encouraging and giving staff tools to raise up a partnership team, I have made an impact on young people across Canada.

Thanks to your support I have been able to walk along-side 35 Momentum participants since November.

Shawn...continues to serve as a chaplain in two part-time positions. He has completed two courses at Wycliffe this year and a certificate program at Tyndale on “Death and Dying.” He encounters people everyday dealing with death and engages with them with dignity and love. He’s an amazing example to me!

Naomi...besides loving my new job, I keep busy with Par-ent Council commitment and have started attending the women’s Bible study at Runnymede Community Church.

Jedidiah...had taken up baseball this season and is keep-ing us busy with two nights a week at the ballpark. He’s thriving at school, is always reading or trying to convince us to let him play a computer game.

Partnering:• Prayer...”Devote yourself

to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Col 4:2

• Volunteer...Maureen and I could use a couple of volunteers to help with HR data entry.

• Financial partners....Thank you to those who already partner with me! With 5 more monthly partners of $100 I could start working 24 hours.

Praise & Prayer:

• Praise God for His provision. I have enough support to work 20 hours a week (with the goal of working 24 hours).

• Praise God for bringing us through the beginning of 2015 (through sickness, pests and natural disasters) and demonstrating his faith-fulness to us.

• Pray for the Momentum participants - that they would have enough sup-port to start ministering to youth.

• Pray for Maureen and I as we seek to create HR systems for YFCC to help shape a healthy, sustainable structure and culture.

• Pray for our international students that they would experience the love of Christ as they stay here.

• Pray for me as I balance the roles of mom, wife, YFCC staff & Parent Council Chair.
