Name of Allah – Al Mannan Introduction The biggest delight in the hereafter is to see Allah In this life we need to see Allah with our hearts. We need to nourish our hearts and souls by talking about Allah. Talking about the perfection of Allah and studying the beautiful names of Allah is living in paradise in Duniya. The opposite is true i.e. we are sad when we talk about imperfections and the tangible things of life. The best remedy for someone who is depressed is to talk about Allah. Allah will put a joy in the heart of the person who talks about Allah. The moment we remember Allah, Allah remembers us at the same time of our action.

Miserable is the person who came in this life, tasted different foods, travelled to lands but did not find true joy of knowing Allah.

Surah Tur Ayah 17-28

In these Ayat Allah is giving us a scene from Paradise. The people of Paradise are enjoying the delights and pleasure of Paradise and they are in gardens of delight enjoying whatever Allah has favored bestowed on them. Allah protected them from the torment of hellfire. the angels are receiving them with honor and saying salam to them. They are guided to their homes in Paradise.

As we do good deeds in this life, we are building our home in paradise. In life, we have so many desires we cannot fulfil. In life, we have to fulfil the word of Allah then, Allah will fulfil all our desires in Paradise. The fulfilment of desires in Paradise will be without any fear of removal of the desire. In Paradise everything is tailor made for us.

After the dwellers of Paradise settle in their homes, it will said to them to eat and drink for enjoyment. They will be reclining and siting on couches and they will have no fear or worry Everyone will be in pairs in Paradise and no one will be alone.

If one If one family member is in a high level of paradise and the rest of his family members are in a lower level, then Allah will join them together in the higher level.

All this is reward as the believers withheld their desires in the duniya. They stopped themselves from disobeying and displeasing Allah so He rewarded them by fulfilling all their desires in Paradise.

The immortal boys like preserved pearls serve the dwellers of Paradise. These old do not get old and do not get tired and are not rebellious. They know exactly what the dwellers of Paradise want to be served. They are perfect servants.

The people of Paradise say that in the worldly life they were afraid of the judgment day but Allah favored them by protected them from Hellfire.

• Al Manan means the one who has a big favor on you that you cannot ever return back. Allah is the only one having favor on people.

• Mannan is a dispraised quality for humans as such a person gives something then reminds them of the favor. The reminder nullifies the good deeds of the person. We don’t have a favor on anyone but Allah has favor on us.

• Anyone who supplicated Allah by this dua has called upon Allah by his greatest name.

Hadith:

The Prophet (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) entered the Masjid and there was a man who had performed Salat and was

supplicating. He was saying in his supplication: “O Allah, none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, You are the One Who gives blessings, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Possessor of

glory and generosity (Allāhumma lā ilāha illā ant, al-Mannān, Badī`us-samāwāti wal-arḍ, Dhal-Jalāli wal Ikrām).” So the Prophet (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) said: “Do you know what he has supplicated Allah with? He has

supplicated to Allah by His Greatest Name, the one which if He Is called upon by it, He responds, and when He is asked by it, He gives.”) – At Tirmidhi 3544

• ( نالم ) is a favor that comes easily and is ready-made. This is why the food that came from the heaven for the Banu Israel was also called “Mann” as they received this as a big favor from Allah without anyone having to do any effort.

• Allah gave us so many favors before us asking for anything. Allah gave us provision, guidance, health, security so that we are grateful

• We don’t have favor upon anyone and no one has favor upon us.It is only Allah who was favor on us.

• Look at how we were before in our lives and how Allah reforms us and took care of us so gently. Allah brings a change in us without us even recognizing it. Allah reforms us slowly, subtly and not abruptly although Allah is able to do so.

• Look at how Allah nurtured us to come closer to Him and seek knowledge. This is all Allah Al Manaan who beautified the faith in our hearts and made us taste the sweetness of knowledge.

• The favors of Allah are not temporary, but they’re everlasting. We should know the favour is from Allah and he will increase it. When we know Allah is Al Manaan, we should ask Him without feeling shy. If He gave us without asking, so what about if we ask? For sure He will not neglect us

• When we go far away from Him, He will make us taste the bitterness of the way so that we come back closer to Him. We feel as if we in a bottleneck where everything is closed on us and there is no other way except to turn to Allah . Even problems and sicknesses are a favour so that we return back to Him.

• It’s a favor when Allah reminds us of a sin we committed which we forgot to seek forgiveness for so that may repent to Him.

• The more one believes in Allah’s favors, the more he’ll be given from His favors.
