Going to the Dentist

Anna is going to the dentist. She is a little scared, but her mother is with her.

A friendly lady at the desk asks her to wait. She says Anna can play with the toys, read or watch a movie.

After a few minutes, the dentist’s helper calls Anna’s name and shows her around the office. She teaches Anna how to clean her teeth at home.

Next the dentist’s helper takes special pictures of Anna’s teeth.

Then the dentist comes in and checks Anna’s teeth. He looks at the pictures and says Anna needs a filling. She will have to come back on another day. Anna asks if the filling will hurt and the dentist says it won’t hurt because it is small.

Anna is not happy that she needs a filling, but she is glad to be going home. She is glad she went to the dentist!
