Parent Dedication Service Sunday, February 25, 2018

“Start children off on the way they should go, and when they are old they will not return from it.” Proverbs 22:6

As parents, it is our blessing and responsibility to lead and encourage the spiritual growth of our children. We invite you to join us on Sunday, February 25, during any of the three

services, to verbally confirm, before the congregation, your commitment to raise your child/children to know and follow Jesus Christ.

Women’s Ministry Special Event: Human (Sex) Trafficking Awareness All ladies (and teenage daughters) are encouraged to attend our Women’s Ministry Special Event on awareness for human

trafficking. We’ll discuss warning signs around us, build awareness, hear from the break every chain coalition. Ladies, bring your daughters, invite your friends, you won’t

want to miss this special event on Monday, February 26, 2018.

Easter Egg Hunt We are putting plans together for this year’s Egg Hunt, scheduled for Sat., March 31. We would love for you to join us! This year’s theme is “The Great Surprise”. We will need

volunteers to help plan and prepare. We will also need donations of eggs filled with candy. If you would like to help

out, contact Rebecca Stephenson or Catelynn Bornman. If you would like to leave a donation of candy filled eggs, please place them on the island in the kitchen. All candies must be

individually wrapped.

Ordination for Ethan Anderson We will be holding the Ordination Council & Questioning for

Ethan Anderson, on Sunday, February 25, at 2 PM, in the sanctuary. Ordained men are invited to participate. All church members are encouraged to attend. The church will

receive the Ordination Council’s recommendation. The council moderator will direct the church in it’s vote to accept or

decline the council’s recommendation.

Rebuilding Houston If anyone is interested in working reconstruction in the Houston, Texas area, please contact Koelle Barbour at

816-344-1202. We are planning to go down for 1-2 weeks in mid-to-late March. We’ll be working alongside Texas

Baptist Men, a division of the SB DR, to help rebuild homes that were damaged in the devastating floods this past year.

Ladies Lunch and a Movie Ladies, join us on Thursday, February 22, at 12:30 PM, in room 17, for our next Lunch and a Movie. We’ll be watching “Finding Hope Now.” It’s inspired by a true story. His father’s

cruelty pushes Santos, age 16, into having to survive on the streets. Reverend Roger Minassian, age 53, knows nothing

about street youth, but feels God’s calling to help, so he steps way outside of his comfort zone, and takes to the streets ravaged by gang violence. The lives of Roger and Santos

intertwine as Roger leans to become a father to the fatherless and Santos struggles to find new life.

picked up a prayer guide and commitment card, please stop by the Welcome Center. You can get a prayer guide and fill out a prayer partner commitment card! It’s not too late to join in!

It’s our goal to cover this ministry with prayer from start to finish!
