NAME OBITUARY - 2013 Abate, Robert E. Robert, January 22, 2013, was the husband of the late Priscilla, father of Robert, Susan (husband Richard, Mark (wife Ellen), Schott and Christopher (wife Jennifer. After several years with both Sikorsky Helicopter and Avco, he worked for Polaroid Corporation in Norwood and Cambridge as an Engineer for 17 years before retiring in 1985. After retiring he started a successful business called Lenstech LLC, an independent testing laboratory for the sun glass and reading glass industry. Addie, Robert "Vernon" Gelling Robert, 75, April 14, 2013, is survived by his wife Lynne Marcia Addie, daughter Katherine Addie-DiGiovanni and son Robert L., granddaughter Rachel DiGiovanni, grandson Jake DiGiovanni and great granddaughter Braelyn V. McAniff, his granddaughters Sage, Cierra and Neve Addie, and sister Evelyn Liddle (husband Geoff). He lived in Gravesend England, the Boston area and Newbridge Ireland with his family where he was on assignment with Polaroid in 1980 and retired in 1995. He was a member of the PRA. Berry, Bruce Francis Bruce, 70 , May 3, 2013, was the husband of the late Linda Gallante, and the former husband of Catherine Berry, mother of his children and his best friend. Abate, Robert E.

Robert, January 22, 2013, was the husband of the late Priscilla, father of

Robert, Susan (husband Richard, Mark (wife Ellen), Schott and Christopher

(wife Jennifer. After several years with both Sikorsky Helicopter and Avco, he

worked for Polaroid Corporation in Norwood and Cambridge as an Engineer

for 17 years before retiring in 1985. After retiring he started a successful

business called Lenstech LLC, an independent testing laboratory for the sun

glass and reading glass industry.

Addie, Robert "Vernon" Gelling

Robert, 75, April 14, 2013, is survived by his wife Lynne Marcia Addie,

daughter Katherine Addie-DiGiovanni and son Robert L., granddaughter Rachel

DiGiovanni, grandson Jake DiGiovanni and great granddaughter Braelyn V.

McAniff, his granddaughters Sage, Cierra and Neve Addie, and sister Evelyn

Liddle (husband Geoff). He lived in Gravesend England, the Boston area and

Newbridge Ireland with his family where he was on assignment with Polaroid

in 1980 and retired in 1995. He was a member of the PRA.

Berry, Bruce Francis

Bruce, 70 , May 3, 2013, was the husband of the late Linda Gallante, and the

former husband of Catherine Berry, mother of his children and his best friend.

He served in the United States Navy, as a Second Class Ship Fitter on the U.S.S.

Maury. Bruce was a retired machinist at the Polaroid Company. Also survived

by three sons, Michael R. Berry, John J. Berry, and Matthew Berry, a daughter,

Krista M. Spencer, 5 grandchildren, Jocelynn Berry, Andrew Berry, Alexis

Spencer, Zoey Spencer, and Isabella Berry.

Blick, Dallas, Jr.

Dallas, 76, December 29, 2012 was the husband of Lorrine, served in the U.S.

Army and worked as a mail clerk for the Polaroid Company for several years.

He is also survived by his brother Lawrence (wife Bertha) and several nieces

and nephews.

Blomquist, Corrine “Connie”

Corrine, 82, February 6, 2013, wife of Robert, mother of Joseph (wife Dianne,

late Michael Vaughan (wife Maureen, and Mark (wife Brenda), stepmother of

Karen, Alan and Susan, grandmother of 14 grandchildren and one grandchild.

She worked as an executive assistant for Polaroid Corporation in Waltham.

Leonard, 66, November 2, 2012, was the husband of the late Laura, father of

Michelle (Michael), grand father of Ryan and Alexander. He was a US Air Force

Robert, 66, November 28, 2012, husband of Monique, father of Michelle,

William, 76, April 19, 2013 was a Navy veteran and worked for Polaroid for 25

years. He is survived by wife, Joan Caruso, sons; Kenneth (wife Victoria), David,

William, Michael (wife Bonnie Sue) and a daughter, Susan Holbrook an

(husband Scott), brothers, Dr. Charles Brown and Richard Brown and also

survived by seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and nieces and

nephews.

Burpee, Ralph H.

Ralph, 73, March 19, 2013. Ralph was the husband of Arlene M. and father of

Ralph E. Burpee, Douglas M. Burpee, Derek W. Burpee (wife Hyon Su), and

Cassandre McKinley, grandfather of Derek, John, Joseph, Nicholas, Dylan, and

his grand-daughter Alexandre.

Canty, Eugene “Herbie”

Eugene, 80, May 29, 2013, worked as a technician for thirty-eight years at the

Polaroid Corporation in Waltham. He spend time as a United States Marine

during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Natalie, children Catherine

(husband David), Eugene, (wife Robin), and Susan, his grandchildren, Robert

and Bonnie, Kristina and Kimberley, brother Charles (wife Yvonne) his sister-in-

law Ming, one great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Caswell, Robert “Red”

Robert, 81, January 25, 2013 , husband of the late Phyllis, father of Cheryl

(husband Robert), Laurie and Michelle and grandfather of Liliana. He was an

electronics salesman for many years and prior had worked at Polaroid on the

development of the first color instant camera. He was a U.S. Army veteran

during the Korean War.

Cevrette, Alfred Peter

Alfred, 93, February 14, 2013, Navy Veteran of WWII and was awarded the

WWI Victory Medal and the Aisiatic Pacific area Medal. He worked as a

licensed plumber at the Polaroid Corporation. He was the husband of Janet,

father of Carol, Gwen, Gayle, and Janet, grandfather to nine grandchildren,

and great grandfather to five great grandchildren.

Chandler, Robert C.

Robert, 76, July 12, 2013, is survived by his wife Helen, children Dana, Linda

Scott, Gary, Karen, William, Robert and Michael and four grandchildren. He

was a Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy from 1955-1959 and then went to

work for the Polaroid Corporation for 34 years. Bob was a Technical Specialist

in W4 helping to develop Emulsion test equipment. Later Bob ran the water

treatment and Silver collection system.

Clapp, Roger C.

Roger, 76, February 20, 2013, was the husband of Patricia, father of Susan

(husband Aaron), Stephen (wife Laura), grandfather of Chloe and Holly. In

1965, Roger joined Polaroid Corporation, and was associated with Polaroid for

35 years. He moved around the corporation, sometimes heading

organizations, (Integral film production, Product Engineering) and sometimes

in a staff role (Assistant to the President twice, Program Manager 3 times) and

retiring as Corporate Vice President of Programs in 2000. He was a member of

and also past President of the PRA.

Conroy, Tommy Tommy, January 1, 2013 leaves a daughter Monica.

Cook, Donald A.

Donald, 75, September 30, 2012, served in the Air Force during the Korean

War. Following his service to his country, he was employed by Polaroid

Corporation in Waltham for over 35 years. He, also, was a member of the

Polaroid “Cement Heads” from 1983-2012. He is survived by his daughter,

Jeannine, wife of Anthony Ellis, his beloved grandchilden, Anthony, Jr., and

Brittaney as well as his special granddog, Jada. He, also, leaves his brothers

Earle F. Cook (wife Velma), Russell P. Cook (wife Joan). He was a member of

the PRA.

Yvonne, 69, June 12, 2013, was an early pioneer in computer programming

and data management working for companies such as IBM, Honeywell,

Polaroid, Kodak, Hughes Aircraft and Federal Express. She is survived by her

sister, Patricia Clay Shirley (husband Edwin), two nieces, Erica Lorraine and

Yvonne Michelle Shirley, cousins and close friends.

Copley, Donald W.

Donald, 77, December 8, 2012, husband of Irene, father of Bruce, Corinne,

and Darlean and 3 grandchildren. He was a US Navy Veteran serving his

country for 15 years. He was an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic

retiring from Polaroid.

Cottrreau, Gerald Sr. “Jerry”

Jerry, 70, October 20, 2012, served with the US Army during the Vietnam War

and later worked for Polaroid as a truck driver for 35 years. He was the

husband of Louise, father of Sheri, and Gerald.

Crocker, Steven Eugene

Steven, 60, April 21, 2103, was the husband of Debra Crocker. He was a

machinist at Polaroid for many years until he was disabled at work in the early

1990s. In addition to his wife, Debra, Steven is survived by sons, Steven M.

Crocker (wife), Pamela, and Adam Crocker; and one daughter, Samantha

Crocker; and one granddaughter, Emilee Crocker and is also survived by his

brother, J. Scott Crocker (wife Leslie). and his sister, Cynthia (Crocker) Brady

and her husband, Daniel.

Crowley, John J. “Jack”, Jr,

Jack, 78, June 11, 2013, served in the U.S. Army in South Korea, during the

Korean conflict, then accepted employment with the Polaroid Corporation. He

is survived by his wife Abina “Bina” Crowley, children Jack, Mark, Marianne,

Tim, Joe Crowley, a brother Robert and sisters Julie McDonaugh and Carol

Doherty, and 10 grandchildren.

Cullison, Donald H.

Donald, 85, September 5, 2012, is survived by is wife Greta, sons William

(Jeri), and James (Jill), daughters Susan, and Laura (Robert) and six

grandchildren. He served in the Navy during WWII and spent the majority of

his career as a credit manager at Polaroid and later as the owner of Atlantic

Sales. He was a pioneer of early development of large scale information

storage and retrieval systems for the federal government. He held overall

responsibility for world-wide computer based information systems for many

companies and was the Director of Information Systems at Polaroid.

Daley, Leo J.

Leo, 79, February 16, 2013 is survived by sons, Leo, Kevin, and Corey, a

brother, Donald of Melrose, and by several grand and great-grandchildren. Mr.

Daley was pre-deceased by his wife Caroline Daley, and his brother Mitchell.

He joined the Navy at 17, served on the USS Tidewater, and was an American

Legion member. Mr. Daley was a supervisor for the Polaroid Corporation,

managed sandwich shops in Boston, and painted in Florida.

Byron, 66, February 10, 2013 was the husband of Virginia “Ginger”, father of

Bethany, Michael (wife (Rachel), Jason (wife Lisa), He was formerly employed

by Polaroid and Titleist.

Delaney, Ronald T.

Ronald, 76, May 9, 2013, was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked

for Polaroid Corporation as a Mechanical Engineer for 35 years retiring in

1996. He is survived by his fiancé Joanne Gallagher Quinn, children Denise,

Kimberly Russo and Ronald T., and grandchildren Samantha, Amanda Erik and

Olivia and his future step-sons Daniel and Matthew Quinn. He is predeceased

by his wife Joan.

Edwards, John W.

John, 82, October 18, 2012. Husband of Lillian, and father of the late Junius

and Silvia. He served in the US Navy as an intelligence officer. He served

during the Nixon Administration as Assistant to the Commissioner of U.S.

Customs, where he developed a nationwide system for processing customs

transactions and served as Chief of the United States delegation to the

International Customs Cooperation Council. He is also survived by sons, John,

Christopher, and Steven and 7 grandchildren.

Edwards, Linda

Linda, 58, August 22, 2013, worked as a radar technician for the Polaroid

Corporation for 25 years. Left to rejoice in her blessed memory are: a

daughter, Capricia Bouler; a son-in-law, Tyrell Bouler; a grandson, Sivaad

Bouler; a sister, Cynthia Carson; a niece, La'Nika Carson and a host of relatives

and dear friends.

Eger, Lawrence J. Jr.

Lawrence “Larry”, 70, June 29, 2013 was the husband of Patricia, father to

Brian, Donna and Kevin, proud papa to 8 grandchildren. A former Polaroid

employee for 33 years, he then worked for the U.S. Postal Service before

retiring in 2006.

Falzone, Mary Jane

Mary Jane, April 8, 2013 She worked for many years in the export department

of Analog Devices in Norwood. Before that she worked for the Polaroid

Corporation, the Raytheon Company and at Waltham Hospital. She leaves her

sister, Jean A. Baker, Rosemary Lally, her husband Michael and children,

Maddie, Gavin and Tyler Lally; and Andrew Light and many nieces and

nephews.

Ford, John Jr.

John, 91, May 14, 2013, worked for Polaroid as an inventor where he

developed many of their cameras and other technologies that we use today.

He served as a photographer in WWII documenting many important events.

He is predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, and is survived by his daughter and

son-in-law Susan Benton-Nichols (husband Arthur), Michael and Johanna, John

and Susan, David and Maryanne Ford, 5 granchildren: Katherine Benton, John

(Travis) Benton, Hanna Benton, Tyler Benton, Emma Benton, his 3 step

grandchildren Michelle Lovell, Kelly Nichols and Arthur and many great

grandchildren and his devoted caregivers.

Fredericks, Robert G.

Robert, 68, November 7, 2012, He served in the Mass. National Guard 26th

MP company in Boston holding the rank of Sergeant First Class. He was a

plumber for many years with the Polaroid Corporation and a plumbing

instructor at Cape Cod Tech in Harwich. He was the husband of Susan, father

of Michael (Kate) and Natasha (David) , and had 5 grandchildren.

Garrett, Marjorie Artemicia

Margie, 77, November 3, 2012, worked at Polaroid for the majority of her life

since she was 16 years of age. Margie was mother to Ralph, Elmer, Mandy and

her precious cat Gracie.

Giberti, Alfred Edward

Alfred, 83, June 18, 2012. served in the Korean War and began his 35 year

career with Polaroid Corporation in Washington, D.C. Future positions with

Polaroid included international assignments managing Polaroid’s UK subsidiary

in England, managing the sunglass business worldwide and serving as

President of Polaroid NPKK and Vice President of Polaroid Asia Pacific in Tokyo,

Japan. He leaves his wife Jacqueline, daughters Lee Ann (Michael), and Lisa,

sons John (Cathy), Jamie (Jayne). 4 grandchildren and 5 nephews. He was a

member of the PRA

Robert, 81, December, 25, 2012 worked as a Customer Service Supervisor at

the Polaroid Corporation. He is survived by his wife Pauline, his children,

Sharon, Michele (husband Vernon), Scott (wife Carleen) and grandchildren

Golden, Bob

Bob, November 9, 2012, is survived by his children Russell, Lisa and Darlene.

Through his association with Alcoholics Anonymous, Bob helped save many

people and created wonderful friendships whose life he touched and helped

shape “One Day at a Time”. He worked for over 30 years with Polaroid and his

current job at the EPA of Massachusetts. Proud member of the Massachusetts

Society of Professional Engineers and proud of his association with

Mathworks. He was a member of the PRA.

Walter, February 13, 2013. He was a supervisor at Polaroid Corp. in Waltham,

Mass. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn R. (Bargoot) Griffin; sons, Bryan and

Darren; six grandchildren; brother, John Griffin; and sister, Mary Ann Toland.

Don, October, 2012, was active in camera manufacturing at the Vale and

Shanghai facilies. He is survived by his wife Dorothy and sons, David, Michael

and Andrew, who is serving in Afghanistan.

Paul, 74, June 13, 2013, was a mechanic who worked at the R2 reservoir, 3rd

floor repair shop till he retired. Paul is survived by his wife Kathleen, children

Paul, Kimberly, Lisa, Anthony and seven grandchildren.

Holbrook, Richard D.

Richard, October 27, 2012, husband of Christine, father of Ann (Michael),

David(Jesse) and Katherine, 4 grandchildren. He served as a Lieutenant in the

US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Ludlow Corporation,

Polaroid and Denison Manufacturing in a general management capacity and

then as a Divisional President for Textron Inc.

Holthaus, James J. Jr.

James, 58, September 3, 2012, was employed at the Polaroid Co. in Waltham

for more than 20 years as a plant manager and was always known by friends

and neighbors to always be there as Mr. Fix it. He is survived by is stepchildren

Tina (Duane), Jack, Teri (Brian), Angelo, and his wife Carol, former wife Judith,

and seven grandchildren.

Isaacs, Alvin

Alvin, 86, April 12, 2013, was pre-deceased by his wife Marlene in 1972 and is

survived by his second wife Marta and children Larry Isaacs and Amy Isaacs

Edwards, two grandchildren, Justin and Matt Isaacs. He was a Patent Attorney

and retired from Polaroid, and was on the patent team for the SX-70 Instant

Camera, and then from Kendal Corp.

Richard Jandrue (wife) Patricia, William Jandrue (wife Heather), and Carol and

(husband Steven) Bachofner, grandfather of Geoffrey, Charlotte, Robert,

Nicholas, Caroline and Ariele, brother of Robert Jandrue (wife Barbara) and the

late Frank Jandrue (wife Jeanne) and leaves many nieces and nephews.

Helen, 78, January 27, 2013, is survived by her husband Arthur Derek who

worked for Polaroid for 29 years, children Anne (husband Bill), Fiona (husband

David) and Ian (wife Sally), and 7 grandchildren. She was a champion sprinter

and hurdler and active in theater. She worked for Shell Oil as the personal

assistant to the Director of Research.

Helen, 90, October 20, 2012, worked for Polaroid and the Randy Shoe Factor.

She was the wife of the late James Jimoulis, mother of William and Olga,

grandmother of Adrienne, Stefanie, and Jimmy, and great grandmother of 4 .

She was a member of the PRA.

Johnston, James W.

James, 78, September 26, 2012, served in the US Army National Guard, and

worked as a financial analyst for Polaroid for 41 years. He is survived by his

wife Barbara, children James, Patricia (David), Karen (David), Susan (Robert)

and Carolyn (Salvatore), 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was a

member of the PRA.

Judkins, Clara A. Ellingwood

Clara, 91, August 6, 2013, was employed by Polaroid Corporation working as

an administrative secretary for 15 years retiring in 1981. She is predeceased by

her husband Winston, and is survived by her son Robert Judkins (wife

Jacquelyn), daughter Louise, granddaughter Cari Inkenbrandt (husband

Robert), grandsons, Scott and Mark Lacy, Christopher and Kevin Judkins,

granddaughter Karen Judkins, great granddaughter Daniele Thompson

(husband Michael).

Hilda, June 28, 2013, was employed by the Polaroid Corporation of Cambridge,

MA and was an accomplished artist. She volunteered extensively and was a

well-know as a consummate and popular Washingtonian Hostess. She is

predeceased by her husband Joseph, son Mark and granddaughter Beth as

well as all her siblings. She is survived by a son Robert, grandson Kevin and a

granddaughter Laurie Kalaghan.

Mary, March 29, 2012, beloved wife of Phil Keating and the late James King,

Mary worked as an employee of Polaroid in both the Cambridge and Waltham

offices for 32 years. Born in County Kerry, Ireland and resided in Boston for

many years. Mary is survived by Phil Keating and many loving relatives and

Kinville, John D.

John, 83, April 23, 2013 is survived by his wife, Ann, his son Chuck Kinville, his

daughter Elizabeth Waterhouse (husband Steven), his brother James Kinville

and his sister Jeanne Lavan, is grandchildren Sarah and Benjamin Waterhouse

and several nieces and nephews. During his career he worked as an engineer

at General Electric, Polaroid, and EG&G. He served in the Korean War.

Klaussen, Peter Hooker

Peter, 88, December 18, 2012, graduated from Governor Dummer Academy

and attended the California Institute of Technology before enlisting in the

Army Air Corps in 1943. He led the first over water flight of B-25 bombers from

Travis Air Force Base to Hawaii. He flew 25 low level missions in the South

Pacific during WWII. He worked for Dewey and Almy and the Polaroid

Corporation in the Boston area, later deciding to become independent and

move out West. He is survived by his wife Joan, brother, Karl, children, Kaitlin

Rawson (Chris) and Daniel (Jennifer) and their children, Audrey Rose, Luke and

Anna.

Lamothe, Robert W

Robert, 82, November 16, 2012 was employed as a security guard for the

Polaroid Corporation. He was also a carpenter and a member of Carpenters

Union Local 111 and Local 49. survivors are his children Denise (James),

Patricia (Alan), daughter-in-law, Joanne, Paul (Debra), Donald (Maureen) Kathy

Arthur), 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

John, 91 February 18, 2013 was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He is

survived by his wife Doris, sons John and Bill, daughter Kathy, three

grandchildren.

James, 59, August 2, 2013, worked in research as an electronic technician for

Polaroid for roughly 20 years. He was the beloved husband to Irene Lonergan,

son of the late John and Mary Lonergan, brother of Pat Cady (wife Ann Marie),

Mike Lonergan and John Lonergan (wife Erin)and survived by many nieces and

nephews. In his early years he enjoyed horseback riding and his love for

animals has continued throughout his life, especially his 2 most recent Basset

Hounds Allie and Hailey.

Robert, 78, September 21, 2012, husband of the late Barbara, served overseas

in the US Army, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He worked Polaroid in

Waltham and New Bedford for 30 years, starting as a janitor and retiring as a

quality control specialist. He is survived by his son Robert (Maureen), Joseph,

Guy, 82, December 20, 2012, joined the army at 16 serving in WWII, the

Korean War and assigned to the 82nd Airborne. He was a longtime employee

at Sylvania until the plant closed, and went on to work and retire from

Polaroid. He is survived by his sister Ann and his children Guy Jr, (wife

Monique), Jeanine Leather (husband Michael), Claire Mannarino, John (wife

Frederick, 71, September 23, 2012 was the husband of Judith, served in the US

Navy on the Aircraft Carrier the USS Essex and was involved in the Bay of Pigs

Invasion in April of 1961. He was employed for 36 years as a maintenance

mechanic at Polaroid. Also, survived by his son A. Michael (Bonnie), daughters

Shelley, and Wendy (Dan), and six grandchildren.

Millard, John Bidwell

John, 80, August, 28, 2012, an NCAA champion and one of the five fastest

freestyle swimmers in the world, was invited to participate in the Olympic

Trials in California in 1952. After serving in the US Army, he joined Polaroid

Corporation in Cambridge, MA where he worked with great pleasure for 40

years in Engineering Quality Control and Reliability. Photography was his

lifelong interest from the age of 12, was granted 3 patents and won many

photographic prizes and established Custom Imaging, where he restored

photographs. He was the husband of Elizabeth, father of Stuart (Edith), Janice

(John) and survived by stepdaughters, Lauren, and Jennifer, eight

grandchildren. He was a member of the PRA.

Minnehan, Thomas Edward

Thomas, 89, September 3, 2012, husband of Anna, father to Rosemary, (Jean),

Diane Peterson (Glenn), Maureen (William) and Russell (Kathy) and 4

grandchildren. He was a Merchant Marine during WWII, worked in the shoe

industry, was a firefighter, Police Officer and Town Constable. His final 15

years of employment he worked at Polaroid, as a security guard and then a

Fire Marshall of the Waltham and Norwood sites.

Stephen, July 10, 2013, brother of Susan Gallant, Ellen Boyle and the late

James Modica was a retired Polaroid employee. He was a long time lab Tech

in W4, B Tower. He was a member of the PRA.

Annie, 95, June 25, 2013, wife of the late Lauchlin Jolly Morrison, is survived by

her children Joseph (wife Maureen), Mary Louise, Patrick, and Veronica, and

was a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a retired inspector for

Murphy, Robert Kirrane

Robert, 74, July 4, 2013, husband of Edith, spent most of his life as a sales

executive in the optical industry. While travelling as a salesman for Polaroid,

he once met Red Sox great Ted Williams on a plane, gave him free sunglasses

and was invited by the grateful Williams to come fishing with him in Florida.

He is also survived by his wife’s daughters Edie, Sara and Ann, his son Timothy

and daughter Michaela.

Edward, 92, September 2012, is survived by his wife Barbara and served in the

US Navy during WWII. He retired his position as Senior Manufacturing

Engineer at Polaroid in 1967. Ned was and ardent advocate for the hearing

impaired and served as president of the Boston Guild for the Hard of Hearing.

William, 91, August 27, 2012, was the husband of Janet, worked for Polaroid

for 20 years and was a former Polaroid Executive. He served as a Lieutenant

with the US Navy in the Pacific, and described, with horror, his experience

being dive-bombed by Kamikazes at the battle of Okinawa. He helped with the

creation of a Restorative Justice System, the first of its kind in the United

States .and the system is now being used in 42 states, in schools, and nations

around the world. He is survived by five sons, nine grandchildren, and 8 great

great grandchildren. He was a member of the PRA.

Parker, Louise L.

Louise, 87, April 25, 2013, was a member of the U.S. Navy, Louise proudly

served post World War II as a dentalman. Prior to her retirement, Louise was

employed by Polaroid Corporation as a mechanical parts technician. She is

survived by two daughters, Kimberly LaFleur (husband George Taylor) , Peggy

Buskill (husband Ben), son Robert Gillespie, stepdaughter Linda Moore

(husband Butch); and sister, Leone Downer, seven grandchildren, four great-

grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by

her husband Donald; youngest son, Shaugn Gillespie; and her six siblings.

Don, February 3, 2013, former executive for Maxell, Polaroid, Wrapsol. A

Dealerscope Hall of Fame inductee in 1999, Don spent 11 years at Maxell, as

executive vice president, before taking a job as executive vice president of

business development at Wrapsol. Prior to working at Maxell, he spent 11

years at Polaroid, as director of marketing for U.S. consumer products in 1989.

Pelletier, Louis E.

Louis, 82, July 8, 2013, was a member of the US Naval Reserves. He was

employed for many years by Polaroid Corporation in their Engineering

Department and then became an entrepreneur and real estate developer. He

is survived by his long-time companion Rita Ferullo, son David, daughters,

Denise, Janice, and Debra, five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Elvira, 82, August 16, 2013, was a 1948 graduate of Cathedral High School and

continued her education during her many years of employment with the

Polaroid Corporation and retired in 1993. She is survived by her husband

Ann), Barbara Palmer (husband Jerry), Karen Eustis (husband Ralph) and

1943-1946. She contributed to the war effort and helped develop film for its

innovative camera. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph with

whom she shared the challenge of founding Harvey Mudd College and later

the presidency of Claremont Graduate University. She is survived by her

Col. Clarence, 93, December 24, 2012, was predeceased by his wife Pollyanna.

As a member of the U.S. Army for over 20 Years, he served with the General

Germany, and Korea and retired our of the Pentagon in 1964. He had many

professions including his race horse farm, silk import business and his 17 year

career as a General Manager of Distribution and Materials Manager at the

Reverend Hamlin, 90, February 14, 2013, was the husband of Mildred, father

Judith, 72, July 24, 2013, began her working life at Polaroid Corporation. She is

predeceased by her husband Warren, is survived by her children John, Heidi,

owned and operated the Winterwood Bed and Breakfast (Wellfleet) in her

18th century restored barn for 20 years.

Roche, John Edmond

John. 64, Monday, April 22, 2013, was a financial analyst for the Polaroid

Corporation for thirty-one years. He was a decorated Vietnam War veteran

having served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He received the Vietnam Service

Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, the Combat Infantryman Badge and the

Bronze Star Medal. He was the husband of Linda F. (Fantasia) Roche, father of

Erin M. Roche-Wise (husband Eric), Nicole M. Mullins (husband Michael) and

establishing a new manufacturing facility for Polaroid in Scotland. He is

Dorothy, February 8, 2013 was employed at Polaroid for more than 20 years.

She was the wife of the late Henry, mother of Henry (wife Melissa), Pamela,

and Sylvester, grandmother of six grandchildren and great grandmother of two

Karen, December 13, 2013, transferred from the U.K. to Cambridge for a few

years in the ‘90s. She adopted a little girl whilst in the U.S. and then relocated

back to Nottingham in the U.K.

and Anita, grandmother of four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was employed by W.T. Grant Co. and later, Polaroid Corporation.

Palmer, 80, March 29, 2013, predeceased by his wife Jean, is survived by his

brother, Peter C. True (wife, Candy), his children, Ellen DiCerbo (husband,

Louis), Bruce True (wife, Wendy), Brian True; Noah True; and Nathaniel True;

his grandchildren, John and Annie DiCerbo, Sarah and Mary True, and Eugenia,

Charlie and Will True; and his loving companion, Judy Gaspie. He served in the

U.S. Army from 1954-1956. He worked for several companies including

Carel, 75, January 21, 2013, was the husband of Sandra Ward and served in

the Navy in the 1950's and later worked for Polaroid at the power plant in

Waltham Main Street for over 30 years. He is also survived by a daughter Vicki

Dromey, a son Dan Ward, a sister Mary Runci and four grandchildren.

Carel, 75, January 21, 2013, was the husband of Sandra and father of Vicki and

Dan. He served in the Navy in the 1950’s and later worked for Polaroid in

Sumner, 87, December 30, 2012, wife of the late Selma, father of Steven and

Nancy, grandfather of Lauren, Alan, Alex, Michele, Daniel, Noelle, Allison, great-

grandfather to Benjamin and Asher. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, fought

in both WWII and Korean Conflict. He retired as a Chemist and long term

employee of Polaroid Corporation.

Polaroid (Europa) FV in Enschede having worked there since its beginning.

Weber, Norman

Norman, 84, March 18. 2013, is survived by four children and five

grandchildren: Jeff and (wife Susan), Jon and (wife Fran) and their daughter

Taylor); Peter and (wife Debbie) and their children, Sam and Tori; and Stacey

and (husband Jeff Huse) and their children Emily and Jacob. A veteran of the

Korean War, Lieutenant JG Weber served as a Navy pilot, proudly flying a P2V.

Throughout his career Mr. Weber was a Human Resources executive at firms

that included Kennedys, Polaroid and Bertram Yacht.

David, 82, December 31, 2012, was a design and manufacturing mechanical

engineer. He served in the Army at White Sands, NM during the Korean War,

worked on missile guidance systems. For Polaroid he developed and held

patents for the first driver license PHOTO ID machines. He is survived by his

wife Mary, sons Todd, Christopher (wife Caroline, grandchildren Cameron and

Liam and his sister Jane.

James, 85, October 22, 2012, husband of the late Honora, father of Jackie (Joe)

and Nikki, grandfather of 5 grandchildren. James spent his career at Polaroid

where he was a camera technician.

Gladys, 93, July 13, 2013, was predeceased by her husband Raymond. She was

employed by Polaroid Corporation for over 15 years and then by the town of

Randolph, as a Crossing Guard and as a very successful Truant Officer for the

Randolph Schools. She is survived by her daughters Ramona, Pamela and her

son Raymond, five grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Young, Bruce William, Jr,

William, 72, October 3, 2012, served in the Navy in the Submarine Service for 5

years on several boats, the last of which was the Ethan Allen, and of which was

a Plankholder. He started work at Polaroid in 1968 in Copy Service and

Research. When Dr. Land began his nonprofit Roland Institute in Cambridge in

1982, Bruce went with him. Dr. Land and his dog Desi were Bruce’s daily

companions in an energizing and creative environment. He is survived by his

wife Peggy, daughters Kelli (Joseph ), Leslie (Michael) and grandchildren.

Jeanne, December 28, 2011 worked in Research & Development for Polaroid

Corporation and was on the team that created SX-70 film. She is survived by

her best friend Ruth Scanlan, Her sister-in-law Rita, brother Robert, nieces and

nephews, Susan Panchak, R. Timothy, Stephen, Christopher Ward, Elizabeth

Houk, Margaret and Douglas Ward, Anne Mas, and many grand nieces and

nephews.

Duane, 67, December 2, 2011, was employed by Polaroid Corporation as a

technician for 16 years. He is survived by his son Adrian, two brothers, James

and Thomas, sister Janice Thompson. He enjoyed entertaining, cooking,

vegetable gardening, fishing and music.

John, 77, April 15, 2012 was the husband of Jeanne, father of John (wife Jean),

Medic with U.S. Army, 11th Airborne Division and retired from the Polaroid

Corporation after 38 years.

Edward, 84, September 26, 2011, was a plumber by trade and worked in HVAC

systems maintenance for the Polaroid Corporation for many years before

retiring in 1989. Husband to Patricia L. (Cavanaugh) Whitehead, father of

Christine L. Whitehead and the late Donald N. North, Jr. Also survived by

several nieces and nephews.
