Research subject: Employees' Intellectual Property Rights – A New Model

2003-2010 Co-Founder and the Head of Working Women Center (CWW), in cooperation with the Israel Women's Network, Israel. . The CWW deals with discrimination against women in the workplace, illegal firings, sexual harassment at work, equal salaries, proper representation for women, women from minorities and excluded groups as well as women inventors and creators' rights . The Center also conduct presentations and provide information to minority groups in Israeli society (e.g. ultra-orthodox, Bedouins, religious leaders and Ethiopian immigrants) about equal rights.

2003-2006 Founder and Director of the Center for IP Rights at Workplaces and Inventors Rights, Ono Academic College. The Center provides pro bono legal advice to employees. It also acts as consultant to various governmental committees and members of Knesset.

The article "To Read or Not to Read: Privacy Within Social Networks, the Entitlement of Employees to a Virtual “Private Zone” and the Balloon Theory" has been judged one of the best law review articles related to entertainment, publishing and/or the arts published within 2014. As such, it has been selected for inclusion in the 2015 edition of the Entertainment, Publishing and the Arts Handbook, an anthology published annually by Thomson Reuters (West), 2015. The article " Generating Rembrandt: Artificial Intelligence [AI], Accountability and Copyright - A New Model of AI Systems as Workers” and the Balloon Theory" (with Samuel Moorhead) has been nominated by Michigan State University Faculty Panel and Editors as the 2017 Visionary Article in Intellectual Property Law. Brief Description:

Dr. Yanisky-Ravid is a full time Senior Law Faculty Member of Intellectual Property Law, Cyberspace, Privacy, Labor and Employment Law, Antidiscrimination Laws and Competition Laws at the Ono Academic College Law School, which is the largest law school in Israel. She is also a law professor and research fellow at the Yale University Law School, since 2011, where she conducted two seminars: "Law And Society In Israel: Contemporary Issues" and "Advanced Legal Studies For The VR Graduate program". Dr. Yanisky-Ravid has been a Visiting Professor at Fordham Law (2012, 2014), where she teaches the course "Beyond Intellectual property: Theoretical, Comparative and International Perspectives" in intellectual property and the interconnection with other fields justified by various of philosophical theories in different jurisdictions and in international tools, which ended with a Seminar at WIPO Geneva. She serves as a sought after lecturer at leading universities in the world: she lectured as a guest lecturer at Yale Law School, Columbia University, Harvard University, NYU Law, Miami University, American University and others in the U.S. as well as at Lausanne University, Switzerland. In addition, she actively participates in international organizations, such as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva and the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law. She has published numerous articles mainly in the U.S. and in Israel, has won numerous awards and scholarships for her works and has won several awards and scholarships. Recently, her article titled the Right to Privacy and The Balloon Theory was judged by West (Thomson Reuters) Publisher as one of the best law review articles related to entertainment, publishing and/or the arts published within 2014 in the U.S. Her book "Intellectual Property at Workplaces: Theoretical and Comparative Perspective" (published in Israel, Nevo, 2013) has been quoted in many decisions of the Israeli courts and the Israeli Patent Authority with wonderful feedback.

She is currently working on editing two books titled Beyond Intellectual property: Theoretical and International Perspectives and The Challenges of the Digital Era: Privacy, Information and More (Fordham Press, Oxford Press Distributors) as well as on a book she is authoring: The Future of Privacy in the Digital Era and The Balloon Theory. Yanisky-Ravid is the founder and the head of the Shalom Comparative Legal Research Institute, OAC, which is active in Israel, Switzerland and the U.S. hosting a tremendous amount of international conferences, courses, seminars, visiting professors, students delegations, promoting comparative research and creating academic relationships with leading institutes for almost ten years.
