Name: Dr. K. Mathiyazhagan
Designation: Associate Professor
Specialization: Industrial Engineering
Broad research areas of interest: Green Supply Chain Management; Sustainable Supply Chain
Management; Multi-Criteria Decision Making; Third
Party Logistic Provider
Research area description
My research lies within the field of Industrial Engineering in general, and within Green Supply
Chain Management (GSCM) and Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) topics in
particular. Here I find the influential role of pressures and barriers for the adoption of GSCM and
SSCM with the help of Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approaches. I have conducted
research within theoretical method development, as well as within real-life applications. From an
applicative point of view, I find problems for implementation of GSCM and SSCM in
automobile, electrical/electronic and textile industries.
