Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I hope you are enjoying your spring break. I understand that this is a “break” but we
(YOU AND I), are responsible for a regent on June 18th, 2020. With that being said, below you
will find three “quizzes”. Each quiz should be taken in a timely manner. For example, Quiz 1
should be done between Thursday (4/9) and Friday (4/10). Quiz 2 should be done between
Monday (4/13) and Tuesday (4/14). Quiz 3 should be done between Wednesday (4/15), Thursday
(4/16) and Friday (4/17). Each quiz is a combination of regent’s questions that you are expected
to have mastered in these 9 chapters. Please do this at your pace and on your own. Use your
internet, family members, and phone to help you understand the material. Do not wait till the last
minute to do these quizzes or get “help” from your classmates. Try to do this independently.
Please be sure to do these problems on loose-leaf and you must show all your work to receive the
full credit. You must also show your work where it is appropriate. If there is graphing, you must
do this on graph paper! (NO EXCUSES). Let’s be professional mathematicians. Have safe break!
Best,
Ms. Sanchez 😊
If you do not have graph paper, please watch this video so you create your own 😊

In your explanation, be sure to include words like shifted up, shifted down, shifted horizontally, shifted
vertically. Also, be sure to say if the graph stretched or got narrow.

Make sure you turn these into 𝑦(<, >, ≥, ≤) 𝑚𝑥 + 𝑏. Don’t forget that you need to use the point
(0,0) as a testing point. If you test (0,0) and the statement is true you shade that side. If not, you shade
the opposite side.
