In November 1860 Abraham Lincoln was
elected President of the united states.
South Carolina senators are mad and vote to have south Carolina leave the union. 10 other southern states soon
followed.
Lincoln is sworn into office and officially becomes president of the ‘’not so united states’’ he decides all military forts belong to the us government no matter where they are
north or south.
Angry southerners in Charleston, south Carolina open fire on soldiers at fort Sumter.
The civil war has begun.

As the war dragged on ,Lincoln decided to declare the slavery. Which he had discouraged Europeans who opposed
slavery from assisting confederacy.
On January 1,1863 ,President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. Which mint all slaves in all
states were freed from being slaves.
EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION
The Battle Of Gettysburg needed to pass draft laws as sign that
both sides were getting tired of war. But trey still decided to take war on again Lee felt confident
enough to take on a war invasion again he attacked the North. In the end lee lost about a third of
his army so what does that mean to you the south lost war and
North won .Which was the first war.
