Institutional Aid Countable Aid:
Any and all financial assistance to student-athletes that is funded,
managed/controlled or allocated by the institution, regardless of

Violations of Financial Aid Policy
1st time violator: Reprimand and the financial aid limit in the affected
sport will be reduced by the amount the institution was in violation
2nd time violator: Probation and financial aid limit will be reduced 1.5
times
3rd time violator: Suspension and financial aid limit will be reduced 2
times

Common Issues New personnel brought in over the summer who did not know that
they had to fill out a Year-End Report Athletics department and financial aid office weren’t communicating Errors in the report that the institution failed to correct before
submission
Examples: No Yearly Cost of Education entered Worksheet for one sport has not been filled out
