NABARD and DFS organize a Seminar on Rolling out of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) & Unified Package Insurance Scheme (UPIS) in NABARD, Mumbai Ministry of Finance, Government of India conducted a “Seminar on Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) & Unified Package Insurance Scheme (UPIS)” in NABARD Head Office auditorium on Tuesday, 22 March 2016. The seminar was presided over by Shri Arun Jaitley, Hon’ble Finance Minister, Govt. of India and the participants included senior Government of India officials, CMDs of Public and Private Sector Banks, CMDs of Insurance Companies, MDs of State Cooperative Banks, Chairmen of RRBs and CEOs of other concerned agencies. The event also saw the launch of NABARD’s innovative ‘Agri-Credit Monitoring Portal’, which will help financial institutions, mainly banks, to monitor the status of agriculture loans provided to farmers. He also unveiled Roadmap of E-Shakti Expansion Programme of Digitisation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
