“Tell the students to give up their small ambitions and come eastward to preach the gospel of Christ.” – St. FrancisThe members of St. Francis House acquainted us with the life of their patron, St Francis with an astounding portrayal of his humble life through a skit which encapsulated his journey from a pampered child to a spiritual devotee of Christ. His teachings which urged us to love, to trust, and to bear our burden with humility and patience were imparted gracefully by means of an enchanting dance and melodious songs.

GandhiThe students of Class VI-C had conducted an assembly to pay homage and to exhibit their reverence for the Father of our Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. An ordinary man who won the hearts and respect of millions by his extraordinary deeds. His principles and sincerity towards his work truly inspired us all to live our lives according to the principles of truth and non-violence. The assembly commenced with a beautiful medley of bhajans which were followed by a skit depicting instances from his life. We were all, thus, kindled with the message of peace, tranquility and harmony.

Learn First Aid- Save lives and be a hero!The members of Disaster Management Club had presented an assembly which highlighted the significance of First Aid in emergency situations. Mr. N.M. Gupta, Deputy Commissioner of St. John's Fire Brigade, taught the students the right methods of administering medical assistance to an ill or injured person by means of demonstrations and interactive sessions with the students. Some students got a first-hand experience of performing C.P.R. on a dummy under his supervision.

Celebration of the Victory of Good over Evil.The members of Performing Arts Club demonstrated a special assembly on the auspicious occasion of Dusshera. The assembly commenced with an assortment of bhajans and was followed by a heartwarming rendition of the epic saga of Dusshera. The assembly laid emphasis on the notion that if we are able to overcome the evil within us, then we can help make our society a better place to live in.

'Ignite' Positivity and Happiness!The students of St. Joseph's House on 3rd November had put up an assembly on Diwali which commenced with a magnificent enactment based on the Hindu Mythology, Ramayana and was followed by a lively dance performance which truly left a 'bright' smile on our faces. The significance of a life filled with love was notably rendered.

Various performances like scintillating dances were organized and performed by the teachers. The memory of this day will remain well entrenched in the hearts of all Anthonians forever.

The students of Class XII Humanities had put up a delightful assembly depicting the inspirational life of Guru Nanak Sahib by means of a stirring play on his life.The students were acquainted with his teachings which were based on equality, love, fraternity and virtue.

“Strive always to excel in virtue and truth.”- Prophet MuhammadThe students of Class XI Commerce presented an exceptional assembly on Eid-E-Milad which glorified the birth of Prophet Muhammad and celebrated his principles and beliefs. They observed the significance of the occasion. A prayer, an impactful play on his life and a song conveyed the values of harmony, respect and companionship which found familiarity amongst the respective spectators.

True Gospel preaching always changes the heart. It either awakens it or hardens it.A Christeen Seminar for Classes IX - XII, led by YU4C - Youths United for Christ, was ensued in the School Hall during the school hours. Mr. Ajin Joseph, the Director of YU4C, headed the team. The session was exceedingly enlightening, wherein, there were classes on subjects ranging from Social Media to Holiness. The session also comprised of lively action songs.

CHRISTEEN SEMINAR

Real Development is not to Conquer Nature but to Live in it.Under the guidelines of CBSE, the students of Classes IX – XII partook in the SEWA Project which endeavored to enhance the expertise and perception of the students towards their environment and ambience. Week long assemblies were convened by these classes on a variety of topics related to reviving and preserving the natural environment. Furthermore,the students took part in street plays, public rallies on 'Swachh Bharat' and 'say No to Crackers'; and many other interactive activities. Students found much needed solace when they interacted with nature with one common objective in mind; the protection and preservation of the environment.

SEWA PROJECT

We must always Change, Renew, Rejuvenate ourselves; Otherwise, we Harden.NLP Workshops were organized for the students of Classes XI and XII on 2nd and 3rd December. It was led by Rev. Fr. Toby Joseph and his team from 9 AM - 4 PM. The students were revitalized via a spiritual experience. The session could help break their emotional impediments and took their bonds to the next level. Another NLP seminar was conducted for the teachers from 3rd – 6th December in St. Anthony’s School, Faridabad by Rev. Fr. Toby and his team. Six teachers attended the seminar which encouraged them to discern diverse strategies to assist and guide the students to surmount their uncertainties, develop their self-confidence, strengthen their will power and sharpen their memory.

Celebrating our Rich Diversity.The much awaited Annual Day of our school was celebrated with great enthusiasm by everyone. From the tiny tots of Kindergarten to the seniors of our school, everyone took part in an eclectic range of performances and acts. The Annual Day for the Juniors was held on 14th Dec 2018, for the Seniors on 15th Dec 2018 and for the Pre-Primary on 8th January 2019.The respective themes for the Annual Day celebrated by the juniors and seniors were 'ILNIDO-The Nest' and 'Samanjasya-Peace and Harmony'.The Annual Day for the seniors was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Deepak Mishra, an IPS Officer and our Principal, Rev. Sr. Matilda. The cultural show began with a melody of songs by the school choir, a mesmerizing prayer dance followed by the presentation of the school report, a dance depicting the cultural diversity of India, a poignant dance drama on the might of social media, a street play based on the theme 'Unity in Diversity'; and a dance drama on women empowerment. The Annual Day ended on an elevated and wholehearted note with an energetic finale. The programme was an amalgamation of various hues which complimented the theme wondrously. It was indeed a spectacular display of talent.

ANNUAL DAY

Farewells are not the end; they are the start of a new journeyBidding a teary yet heartfelt goodbye to the batch of 2018-19, Class XI students had put up a reminisced parting revelry for the departing Seniors on 22nd December, on the theme 'Bon Voyage- The Journey Begins'. To complement the theme, the organizing team was dressed up as pirates and had put forth a pirate dance to start on the event.

A Nation that doesn't Honour its Past, has no Future.Republic Day was observed by our school in the most glowing and fervent way where students of class XI put forth a spirited march past. It was officiated by Major.V.Marchino, a retired army officer, who past inspired the students by sharing various anecdotes from his experiences. Class IX students brought about their inherent patriotism through their jingoistic mime performance. The students of Class VI - VIII beautified the school premises with Rangoli and handmade Flower Arrangements. It was a day of immense glory and one could feel the nationalistic vehemence in their hearts.

Republic Day

It's not what's under the Christmas tree that matters; but the people around it.Christmas is a not a season, it's a feeling of love and care for our cherished ones as well as an inspiration to lend a hand to the needy. This true meaning of Christmas was splendidly portrayed by the evocative and eye-opening assembly put up by Class XI. The Christmas Assembly was impeccably woven with purposeful plays, melodious carols as well as appealing narratives. The Christmas message relinquished by our Principal, Rev. Sr. Matilda, filled everyone's hearts with an impulse to serve others.

“Sanitation is more important than Independence.” - Mahatma GandhiClean water, basic toilets and good hygiene practices are essential for the survival and development of any nation. Today, there are around 2.4 billion people who do not use improved sanitation, and 663 million who do not have access to improved water sources. An assembly was conducted on 15th February which premeditated at conveying such critical facts and accentuating the value of cleanliness.

A Nation's Culture resides in the Hearts and in the Souls of its PeopleThe school had arranged an educational outing to the UPSC Museum and the National Museum for the students of Class X and Class XI Humanities. The students were escorted by Mr. Vijay Mathur, the current Director of UPSC. The students got the prospect to revisit the history of India by scrutinizing in detail the numerous figurines, paintings and scriptures of ancient, medieval and modern India.

There is Something for Everyone at an OutingThe students of class IX - XI had visited the Surajgarh Farms, Gurugram on 30th January, 2018. They were accompanied by their respective Class Teachers. The children took pleasure in a variety of activities and got a taste of the bonafide rural way of life. Along with the appetizing 'DESI FOOD' they swayed to some Bollywood beats. It was a jubilant experience on the whole.

Surajgarh Trip

When you aren't able to put your prayer into words, God hears your heart.A prayer session for the outgoing students of Class XII was conducted on 26th Feb, 2019 by Rev. Fr. Saneesh to receive the clemency of God for their Board Examination. They were also given an orientation class which intended at assisting and informing them to make conversant choices in life. A prayer session for Class X was conducted by Rev. Fr. David on 28th February, 2019 in the Dance Hall to call upon the blessings of the Almighty Father for their approaching Board Exams. The students were accompanied by Rev Sr. Matilda along with their respective Class Teachers.
