Volunteers needed to help prepare bread at the club , for details Call Joe DiMarco at 321-6523 First things first: A huge THANK YOU goes out to all the volunteers who gave of their time and talents to help produce a successful Italian Feast & Carnival this year. We were blessed with willing workers as well as good weather. There is still a lot of wrap-up to do before final figures are known but please mark your calendars for a Feast Appreciation Party on Sunday, April 17th, details will follow soon. Besides the Feast, the Club held many other functions in February. A very informative video presentation on Italian Immigration was well attended; the Valentine “Dolce Notte A Venezia” was sold out; the Member Birthday was delicious & if anyone wants to host with a theme in mind, don’t hesitate to come forward with your idea. The Friday Volunteer Appreciation dinner will finish the month out nicely. Looking forward to it. On another note: Dick Cattelona held a reception honoring Betty Lou at the Club. It was a happy/sad affair since we have a lot of good memories but will miss her greatly too. Her involvement & presence at the Club will not be soon forgotten. Try to attend all of the special events this month, tickets are available. Stay well. Ciao, Bruce NOTE: Remember to Turn Clocks Ahead 1 hour Sun Mar 13th Tampa Bay Downs Trip Sun. Atilio, a powerful tenor, and Christy, a lyrical mezzo-soprano, who brought their unforgettable chemistry to our stage. Their voices intertwined with solos and duets from Broadway, Opera, and The Great American Songbook making their production nothing short of magical!!! Their tribute to our veterans was inspiring and their Bocelli renditions powerful. The visual affects of beautiful photographs on a large backdrop screen which accompanied their songs, added heartfelt emotion to their entertainment. Our exuberant audience chimed in and sang along with many favorite Italian songs. Many thanks are extended to our dedicated volunteers who made this cultural event possible: Linda Bastian, Bob Houston, Ron DeBacco, Viola Giancola, Marion Capecci, Johanna Giordano, Kathy Carbone, Ralph Maccarone, Joe DiMarco, Frank Uttaro, and Tom Santurri. A special thank you is extended to our members, numbering more than our guests, whose attendance supported this returning cultural program. Your warm welcome and standing ovations were very much appreciated. Mille grazie a tutti, Diane Houston Thank you too Diane! Great show with many compliments on the program.
