All teas are made from one plant the Camellia sinensis.

The differences in color and flavor depends on how the leavesare processed

“Black tea contains more caffeine than green tea“

Both types of tea are made from the same plant and only goesthrough different processing.

This does do not change the amount of caffeine it contains, unlessif green tea is brewed for short periods.

“Mint tea is known to soothe a bad tummy“

Mint aggravates gastrointestinal reflux, but is great for itsrefreshing and revitalizing properties.

Ginger tea is better instead

Myth 4

“Milk reduces the health benefits of tea“

It might! But it might not. Only one study has shown that addingmilk decreases the body's ability to absorb catechins in tea.

But the results haven't been replicated

“Tea is healthiest without any add-ons“

The citric acid helps to preserve the flavanoids in tea if you'rebrewing it ahead

Hence a squeeze of lemon juice-or lime or orange juice will makeyour tea healthier.

Myth 6“The quality of tea never reduces

If tea is stored for more than six months, tea begins to lose itsantioxidant properties.

So trap its health benefits by storing tea within a sealed containerin a cool, dry and dark place.
