SWACHCHA BHARATH ABHIYAAN AT POLICE COLONY:

Date: 26/11/2016 Under Swachch Bharath mission ,Cleaning of police quarters colony in jyothinagar was held on

26-11-2016 .Deputy commissioner Sri Randeep, S P Ravi chennannanavar, MCC Commissioner

Sri.G.Jagdeesh, Assistant Commissioner Sri. Puttasheshagiri and others participated in the drive.

The whole colony was cleaned and garbage was transported to the treatment plant.

SWACHCH BHARATH AT JSS SCHOOL

An awareness program was organized as a part of Swachch Bharat at JSS College at

Metagalli layout.The students were administered Swachhata Pledge. Environment engineer

Mythravathi , Assistant Commissioner Sri. Nagraj, School Head Master and others

participated in the program.

AUDITING OF TOILETS

Auditing of public toilets was undertaken under the leadership of Deputy commissioner sri. D.

Randeep. Mayor Byrappa participated in the event . MCC commissioner G.Jagdeesh, health officer

Dr. Tabassum and others took part in the programme, the toilet near Teresian college was audited for

availability of infrastructure facilities like ramp, water supply, electricity etc.

AUDITING OF TOILETS

Auditing of Community / Public toilets in ward-47, Citizens in the ward were

sensitized were educated about using public toilets and not urinate in the open. Environmental

Engineer Bharathi and Assistant Commissioner Sri. Suresh Babu participated in this drive .

PLASTIC RAID

Plastic raid was conducted in Mandi mohalla area. About 50 kg of plastic was confiscated and the shop keepers were penalized with an amount of Rs.10,000. Environmental Engineer Bharathi participated in this raid.

The Swachhata-MoUD is the official app of Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), GOI.

The app enables a citizen to post a civic-related issue (eg; a garbage dump) which is then forwarded to the city corporation concerned and thereafter assigned to the sanitary inspector of the particular ward. The app has been built by IChangeMyCity – a division of Janaagraha, a Bengaluru based non-profit working to improve the quality of life in India’s cities and towns.

How does it work?

Take a picture of the Civic-related issue using your smart phone, and post it in one of the following categories.

・Garbage dump

・Garbage vehicle not arrived

・Dustbins not cleaned

・Sweeping not done

・Dead animals

・Public toilet(s) cleaning

・Public toilet(s) blockage

・No water supply in public toilet(s)

・No electricity in public toilet(s)

The app will capture the location while the picture is being taken. Just type in the landmark of the complaint location. The complaint will then be assigned to the concerned sanitary inspector/engineer. You can also vote up on any other complaint relevant to you. You will get regular updates on status of the complaint in the form of a push notification with the ‘Resolved’ image uploaded by the assigned sanitary inspector/engineer. You can also reopen the complaint if you are not satisfied with the resolution of the complaint.
