MYSTERIOUS ANGKOR TEMPLES (5 DAYS)

An interesting discovery of rich religious history of Khmer Kingdom, home to some of the most
beautiful temples in Southeast Asia. This four day trip has been designed to let you witness the
Angkor in a leisurely and comfortable fashion that ensures nothing of interest is missed. You will also
have chance to visit the traditional floating village at Lake Tonle Sap, Asia’s largest freshwater lake.
TOUR PROGRAM
Day 1: Siem Reap Arrival
Arrive in Siem Reap, you are met and transferred to your hotel in town. Free time on your own.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 2: Siem Reap (Ta Phrom , Angkor Wat and Tonle Sap Lake) Rise early this morning and travel out to the magical temple of Ta Phrom in time for sunrise. Discover
the temple which is almost fully engulfed by the jungle.Then continue to Angkor Wat. Explore this
incredible site in the early morning light. The rest of the day, visit Tonle Sap Lake, known as the
largest fresh water lake in South East Asia. On arrival, take a cruise on Tara River Boat and dinner on
board. Overnight in Siem Reap (B, D).
Day 3: Siem Reap (Banteay Srey and Angkor Thom) Morning visit Banteay Srey temple, the so-called "Citadel of the Women" displays some of the finest
examples of classical Khmer art. Then continue to Banteay Samre, another Hindu temple, this time
dedicated to Vishnu. After lunch, return to the site later in the day to explore Angkor Thom with the
enigmatic Bayon temple, the Terrace of Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Evening enjoy
dinner at local restaurant with an Apsara tradional dance show. Overnight in Siem Reap (B,D).
Day 4: Siem Reap (Beng Mealea and Koh Ker Temple) Today, travel to visit lesser - known areas including Beng Meala and Konker Temple. Explore Beng
Mealea which was built in the 12th century during the reign of King Suryavarman II, mostly
unrestored, with huge blocks of stone lying in piles in its center. Then drive to Koh Ker, the main
temple itself (Prasat Thom) standing as a pyramid. Around the Koh Ker site are several more small
temples, including some that have been partly swallowed up by tree roots. Afternoon, return to Siem
Reap for overnight (B).
Day 5: Siem Reap - Departure At leisure until transfer to Siem Reap airport for home flight or to other extension (B).
Options for beach extension to Sihanoukville or Kep in Cambodia or Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam by a direct flight.
