SMALL GROUP DEPARTURES Keeping groups small is important to your enjoyment. Tours rarely exceed 20 people per departure and when they do, we add an extra departure based on demand. Equally important is we never forget that groups are made up of individuals, and travelling with like-minded companions in small groups allows us to give you personal attention. Tours in this brochure specify group size with maximum and average number of participants.

ADD-ON MODULES Want a bit more than just one of our set itineraries? Not a problem. We have lots of add-on modules on offer. From city stopovers to Indian Ocean island retreats, it’s easy to create that perfect addition to your holiday of a lifetime.

The destination is the experience, made more enjoyable when our small groups are composed of like-minded folk.

Break away from the hectic world of computers, smartphones and traffic gridlocks.

Southern Africa is wonderfully diverse too. Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa offer extraordinary discoveries. Imagine yourself at the mighty Victoria Falls or go ‘mokoroing’ in game-filled Okavango Delta. How about climbing the world’s highest sand dunes at Sossusvlei or meeting the Bushmen of the Kalahari? In South Africa, we’ll have you luxuriating in private game reserves, wine-tasting in pristine Cape Winelands, or simply riding the rails on the fabulously elegant Blue Train or Rovos Rail. Here’s a great idea! Get aboard the activity-packed Shongololo and travel by rail as we show you the beauty of Southern Africa. How about an overland safari that takes you through many nations? The possibilities are endless.

If you’d like to play golf by the seaside or simply soak up a Mediterranean ambience of beach resorts, we offer you Tunisia, home to historic Carthage and the well-preserved ancient city of Dougga. On a Nile cruise, we’ll show you Egypt’s Pharaonic antiquities, from one of the world’s oldest civilizations. After selecting your preferred itinerary, leave the rest to us. We’ll make it memorable.

The Middle East - not only birthplace of three greatly revered religions, but filled with glorious, ancient civilizations.

Instead, come with us to a whole different world …a world beyond imagination!

Want to meet people whose lives are still shaped by the legacy of their illustrious and historic heritage? Then come with us to the Middle East. Let us introduce you to Israel, original home to three of the world’s most revered religions. In Jordan say “Open Sesame” and discover the glorious past at the ‘Rose City’ of Petra and Jerash. Also not to be missed are the Gulf States: the glittering, modern petro-dollar city-states of Dubai and Abu Dhabi with their exceptional sports, shopping and recreational activities or the exotic Sultanate of Oman, a nation of desert fortresses, authentic souks, lush oases and date-palm plantations where Bedouin hospitality is unforgettable.

MACHAME ROUTE

MARANGU ROUTEIf you are up for a true adventure, take the challenge with these two routes to the summit of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain. The popular, 7- day Marangu Route up Kilimanjaro’s eastern slopes, follows an easier, ‘climber -friendly’ trail. Each day’s hike takes you gradually towards the summit with time to relax and enjoy the views. Each exhilarating day ends in a solar powered hut with comfortable beds in communal dorms and a tasty meal.

The 8-day Machame Route is a more challenging trek to Uhuru Peak. The extra day allows for acclimatizing to the altitude and the more physically testing walks. Forests, moorlands, lunar landscapes and glaciers are part of the daily vistas during your climb. Professional porters set up each tented camp and provide delicious hot meals. Your achievement on reaching the summit at dawn on either of these routes is commemorated with a Summit Certificate.

Prefer other routes? Let our highly trained, registered guides lead your climbing expedition up the Lemosho and Rongai Routes.22
