Where is North Korea?
North Korea is located on the Korean peninsula next to china.
What is North Korea like? North Korea is the most isolated
country in the world. They are not part of the United Nations, they also consider themselves as a single party communist country. Not until 2010, any American was not allowed to enter with out permission.
Why are they a country?
In 1910 Japan annexed Korea until 1945 when the U.K. took over Japan. To make it easier to manage they split Korea in two at the 38th parallel. In the 1950’s they tried to combine the two, witch led to the explosive Korean war, which is still happening today.
How do you get into N.K.? You must travel with a Korean
approved tour agency, there are only a few though.
You must have a North Korean Visa. (130$)
Religion
There is no official Religion in N.K., but some people have said that they are Buddhist. All People think of Kim Long il, as a god and all good things are because of him.

Leave Denver, fly to Beijing China. Drive to P’yongyang. Take 3 tours per day. Drive back to Beijing, go home.
The DMZ
The DMZ is the boarder between N.K. & S.K.
It is the most heavily secured boarder in the world.
It is 151 miles long
Poverty
Sadly, N.K. is suffering. They are in a famine that has lasted for 10 years. 3 million people have died. A 8 year old in south Korea ways 30 pounds more, and is 6 inches taller than their North Korean brother.
