Il lescas is a big town with an approximate populat ion of 24.000 inhabitatns, in the province of Toledo, (Cast i l la - La Mancha).In Il lescas we have a lot of history divided into a lot of antique bui ldings.

I l lescas was founded around the Roman conquest I l lescas was inhabited in the prehistory. Its name was Ilarcuris .

Il lescas has got a small museum in the Santuario de la Caridad with 5 of the most important pictures of El Greco (Domenico Theotokópoulos)

The weather in Il lescas is fantast ic al l the year. Is is a mediterranean cl imate;In winter the temperatures are mild with flood,snow and ice and in Summer the temperatures are very high with burns on the people.

In Il lescas there is a train stat ion, a hospita l , a post off ice , a po l ice estat i on , a swiming poo l , a l ibruary, a market, a chappel , a Fire estat i on and a band of music ,

The fest ivals in I l lescas are on the 11 th of March about the miracle of our patron and on the 31st of August about our patron.
