My Planner Lesson
Using Our Time Wisely Time is a Gi Read to the child: In the Bible we read that me is a precious gi , a gi to us from God. The me we have on Earth and also the ability to choose how we spend that me is a gi .
There are many important things that we do each day to care for ourselves. We eat, we clean ourselves and get ourselves ready for the day, we study and learn, and we spend me with our families. It is also good for us to take me to rest, sleep, and exercise. These are all important things that we need to do. Can you think of any other important ways in which you spend your me each day?
It is also good to spend me doing things we enjoy, as this helps us to develop our talents. What things do you enjoy spending me doing?
It is important to show God that we are grateful for the me He has given us. What types of things can you do with your me to show gra tude to God? Pause for response. We can show God that we are grateful by using our me wisely. While God is happy to see us spend some of our me in play and fun, He is especially pleased to see us spend our me working hard, serving others, spending quality me with our families, and doing things that help us learn and grow. What are some specifi c things that you can start doing to use your me more wisely?
To every thing there is a season, and a ti me to every purpose under the heaven:
A ti me to be born, and a ti me to die; a ti me to plant, and a ti me to pluck up that which is planted;
A ti me to kill, and a ti me to heal; a ti me to break down, and a ti me to build up;
A ti me to weep, and a ti me to laugh; a ti me to mourn, and a ti me to dance;
A ti me to cast away stones, and a ti me to gather stones together; a ti me to embrace, and a ti me to refrain from embracing;
A ti me to get, and a ti me to lose; a ti me to keep, and a ti me to cast away;
A ti me to rend, and a ti me to sew; a ti me to keep silence, and a ti me to speak;
A ti me to love, and a ti me to hate; a ti me of war, and a ti me of peace.
—Ecclesiastes 3:1–8

RAINThe rain is raining all around.
It falls on field and tree,
It rains on the umbrellas here,
and on the ships at sea.

THE GOLDEN RULE
To do to others as I would
That they should do to me,
Will make me gentle, kind, and good,
As children ought to be.

THE WONDERFULWORLD
Great, wide, beautiful, wonderful World,
With the wonderful water round you curled,
And the wonderful grass upon your breast,
World, you are beautifully dressed.

A THOUGHT OF NATURE
I sat on the bank of a river,
Watching the setting sun;
Listening to the songs ofmerry birds,
Thinking of a day’s work done.
Slowly the sun was hiding,
Far in the golden West;
The birds will soon ceasetheir singing,
And go to their little nests.
Ah, nature so lovely at twilight,
The flowers receiving the dew;
The katydids among the leaves are calling,
The songs of the birds ever new.

LITTLE THINGS
Little drops of water,
Little grains of sand,
Make the mighty ocean
And the pleasant land.
Thus the little minutes,
Humble though they be,
Make the mighty ages
Of eternity.
