What is my favourite genre• I have a preference toward many different genres,

whether it is pop, reggae, house or even rap

• I tend to listen to those within the charts of the music industry as I find that to be the most accessible and most enjoyable to my ears.

• Even though genres differ quite a lot, it docent mean that one person can’t like all different types.

• For example, my favourite genres are very different. Ranging from artists such as Justin Bieber, Drake, Bob Marley, Calvin Harris, NWA and Eminem.

• All of these artist have their own music but they are all within the ‘music industry’.

Who are some of my favourite artists/bands?

• Bands wise I really like the music of Bastille, Cheat Codes, Galantis, Major Lazer, DNCE, NWA and Coldplay.

• Some artists which I enjoy listening to are Calvin Harris, Rhianna, Justin Bieber, Zara Larson and Eminem.

What are their music videos like?

• Each of their music videos tend to have a story to them making the viewer want to watch it for the duration of the song to find out what happens, bringing in more views.

• Some of them tend to be upbeat meaning that they are fun for viewers to watch and follow.

• For example, Justin Bieber’s music videos tend to be vey upbeat with a lot of quick dancing, especially his new album ‘Purpose’.

• Whereas Bastille tend to have more of a story to their videos.

• Therefore, it depends on the type of mud being produced to see what type of music video is released.

The ideologies of these two examples

• The ideology shown through the internet and given to Justin Bieber is that he is seen as something that would be the money maker and draw a lot of attention to himself to sell records and make money. However, he did did start off his career quite organically via YouTube and later on he was discover but slightly turned to a synthetic artist. Overall he is seen as quite an honest and humble artist but has slipped up recently with the media.

• Whereas, Bastille is seen to be more interested in their music rather than the money being made. This is shown through the website of theirs which shows that they are more of an Indie band/group compared to those which have more images of their faces or the way that they perform.
