My goal is to
help you reach your
goal!
Today we will…• Identify homework board and write down today’s
assignment• Talk about beginning of class routine• Go over some basic rules and procedures• Fill in an index card with information for the
teacher• Complete a “get acquainted” activity• Look at some of the things we will do this year.• Start homework
EVERY DAY, at the beginning of English class…
• Report to your seat as soon as you enter the classroom
• Once you are seated, copy the homework from the homework board into your agenda. (Do this now.)
• Begin reading from an I.R. (independent reading) book unless/until the teacher gives you other instructions.
Basic Classroom Rules
Arrive fully prepared and on time. Remain in your seat at all times
unless you have permission from your teacher to get up.
Raise your hand and wait to be called on before speaking.
To leave the class, you must have a pass
Refrain from touching or disturbing others and/or their belongings.
Do not throw anything in the classroom.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY…
TREAT EVERYONE
WITH COURTESY
AND RESPECT!
