MY FIRST BOYFRIEND

I would never forget my first boyfriend in my whole life. I thought he

would change my life. Unfortunately our relationship did not work at all. I met

him through my best friend, Joey, who thought I should date at least one manbefore I married. After all, I was 18 and had never been I on a date before. I

knew it sounded odd but Id always been shy, I guess. Eventually, Joey

arranged a blind date for me with a guy he met at a club. Although, I was

dreadfully nervous about this whole thing, I agreed to meet him.

The day arrived. I walked into a very exclusive restaurant, wearing a red

evening dress with a white rose in my hand. A few minutes later, the most

gorgeous man I had ever seen appeared, clad in a dark grey suit. The waiterseemed rather impatient because we took the whole hour decided on what to eat.

But he was much friendlier after my date tipped him a few hundred ringgits.

Although the food was delicious, the date did not go on too well as I was too

uptight to say much.

Our second date was much better and for the very first time in my life, I

felt really good. Last month was our first anniversary. Needless to say, I was not

shy anymore. Each day, I had learned a little more about my boyfriend. I beganto notice things - he had a habit of staring at men. I supposed that was better

than staring at women who could not seem to keep their eyes off him. I

wondered why he liked me, but that was not important as long as we had each

other. Was he in love with me? I figured he was in love with me since I wasdeeply in love with him. My boyfriend also liked going out with men hed just

met, but for strange reasons, hed never let me join them. I was curious.

One night, while we were discussing our engagement plan, a veryhandsome guy dropped by. My boyfriend simply said the guy was a close

friend, and since he was leaving for America the next day, my boyfriend had to

give him a farewell treat. Before I could say anything, my boyfriend took off

with the guy, hoping that I would understand. But I just could not take it

anymore. It had happened so many times before and this time I was mad. Mad

enough that I trailed him slowly that night.

I watched them entered a large house, wondering why they did not turn

on the lights. After about an hour, they came out. Suddenly, my boyfriend took

the man into his arms and kissed him, passionately. I was really shocked. I felt

very stupid. My boyfriend was kissing with another man. That explained

everything. Hes gay! Needless to say, I was hurt. And I broke up with him; I

told him nothing but the truth. What else could I say?

I met Joey the next day and told him what had happened. Silly Joey. He

did not tell me they met at a gay club.
