Examples of photo shoots from other rock magazines are a huge inspiration to me as it gives me examples of photo shoots for my magazine, the examples below are from a classic rock magazine to show photo shoots from other magazines it gives me ideas Of how I want my artists to stand, for props and how it will fit in with the article.

Ideas for my photo shoot for my magazine.

Looking at the images above I know everything has been planned in advance, the organiser of the magazine has styled the artists and gave them props I now have to consider on all these qualities and think of locations. I have decided to use these ideas to create my own image; I like the idea of showing rebellion through music so I could show this in my magazine photo shot. Looking at some of these images looking at locations some are taken in a studio and some are in quite rural or unique areas.

Interviews that have inspired me.

This interview by Jerry Ewing interviewed Slash about the classic rock awards and his new album. He asked questions about his album and the people he worked with; the way this is laid is very typical for any magazine it is neatly laid out in columns using drop caps and the colour red is used to bold out the artists, this is a great technique for the reader as the reader can quickly identify any pacific points they want to read, also the images used are near the artists description another great technique which I could use in my magazine.

Colours for my background

Colours are incredibly important in a magazine it sets the identity of the magazine, in any rock magazine the use of reds, blacks and whites really work well together and it stands out attracting the reader’s eye. In my magazine I want to use blacks and maybe pink or purples to attacked the reader.

What My Magazine is all about.

My music magazine is a rock through the ages this magazine is targeted at females because so many rock magazines are created but is very masculine and very limited for girls, in my results I have collected I have found that lots of people like rock music so I can extend their results to creating a magazine of rock through the ages. The tone and language formation would be very typically used in any rock magazine and my audience is on average females aged 21+ so like the other magazines I have research the same type of language. My style will be artistic looking with lots of pictures with writing with more pictures then writing unless it’s the main article then it would be balanced.
