My Favorite Teacher
Students can sing the praises of their favorite teacher with Barnes
& Noble’s My Favorite Teacher contest. Any student may write an
essay, poem or thank-you letter sharing how a teacher has
influenced his or her life and who he or she appreciates or admires
that teacher. Participating schools collect the essays and give them
to their local Barnes & Noble store representatives. Individuals
may also enter. Students whose essays are selected will be
honored at their local store, and winning teachers will receive an
award along with Barnes & Noble prizes. Download the official
entry form at

February Service Project
Due to the generosity of the first grade families who donated
items, the first graders have enough sweet treats left over from
their dessert day to offer them again this coming Tuesday, February
28th
. They will be selling the items at the end of the lunch periods,
and the fifty cent cost will be donated to the Jacklyn Johnson fund
to benefit their service project.
Also, in conjunction with spirit wear day, you may participate in
“Jeans for Jacklyn!” Bring $1.00 on March 2nd
and wear jeans along
with your spirit wear.

Mission Boxes
Mission boxes are going home today. These are part of our Lenten
observance of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. The alms will go
going to the Holy Childhood Association. Please collect your
money during Lent and return it in the box or an envelope marked,
Mission Money. Please send the money to the office. Please
return the money during Holy Week. The money collected will
help those who need adequate housing, food, education and
health care. Please remember to pray for the missions
daily. Thank you!
