Evaluation My evaluation

The reason I decided to do macro portrait and architectural is because of the research I did. I looked

at many different photos from different web sites like national Geographic’s and many others. There

were about 3 or 4 photo that really inspired me with one being a man scuba diving in an underwater

park this by far was my favourite photo witch made me decided I wanted to do architectural. The

reason why I choose macro was because of an image I saw of a macro on a spider, it was an image of

a spider on a web that was crystalized in water. The reason I choose portrait as a topic is because of

an image I saw on an army website, the image was of a soldier in battle in Afghanistan and it was a

picture of his face.

The equipment I used was cannon 600D the price of this camera is £320 I also used a class 10 SD

card the price of this being £11. I used some different setting on the camera one of them being

monochrome. I used monochrome for my portrait photo and I also used the setting landscape for

my architectural photos.

I edited two photos both of the photos where in Photoshop I did change the colour and chanced

them into black and white witch was pretty easy.

I have not learnt any new skills but I have just practised some of my old skills I used

(Part 2) The strengths of my photos are that in my entire photos I took they were all in focus and

they came out the way I wanted them. My strongest photo was the image of the spider coming off

his web. This was defiantly my best photo. The weaknesses off my photos where defiantly he image

for the flower and the landscape of the road. The problem I had with the picture of the flower was

that I could not find a good enough flower to take a picture off. The problem with the landscape

image was I couldn’t find a place where I could get a very good landscape photo so I had to go on to

a bridge near school and get the image.

Am I pleased with my images? Yes I am very pleased with my images they Came out the way I

wanted them apart from the flower image witch I wish I could change

Have they came out the way you wanted them? Yes most of my images have come out the way I

wanted them, especially the two images of the spiders they were my favourite images because they

are all focused properly and are looking very good.

Have I improved any of my media skills? Yes I have improved some of my media skills doing this unit

and those things where my photography skills I have now learnt how to change all the settings on

the camera to take the best photo I can I also now have a very good understating on all off the photo

techniques.

What would I like to change about my work? The thing I would like to change on my work are the

focus of the photo and the type of the photo if I could go back and change it I would make my

photos into portrait and landscape because these are my two favourite type off photos. With the

Evaluation macros I took I wish I could have focused on the spider a bit better because in my images the spiders

body is a bit blurry.
