For 40 +

WHERE YOUR LIFE STANDS

HERE ON EARTH…..

IT IS LIKE NOON IN YOUR LIFE…..

Because none of us have many more years to live, optimistically we are in mid life or 2nd half of life & we

can’t take along anything when we go…

Spend the money that should be spent,

enjoy what should be enjoyed, donate what you are able to donate,

but don’t leave all/much to your children or grandchildren, for you don’t want them to become

parasites who may be waiting for the day you will die!!

Don’t worry about what will happen after we are gone,

because when we return to dust, we will feel nothing about praises or criticisms. The time to enjoy

the worldly life and your hard earned wealth will be over !!!

Don’t worry too much about your children, for children will have their own destiny & should find

their own way….

Don’t be your children’s slave.

Care for them, love them, give them gifts, but also enjoy your moments…. Enjoy your money

while you can.

Life should have more to it than working from the cradle to the grave!!

40-year old like you, don’t trade in your health for wealth by working yourself to an early

grave anymore.

Becoz, your money may not be able to buy your health…

When to stop making money?

Or how much is enough….lakhs, crores, million, ten million…???

Out of thousand hectares of good farm land, you can consume only three quarts (of rice) daily;

Out of a thousand mansions, you only need eight square meters of space to rest at night.

One day passes without happiness, you will lose one day.

One day passes with happiness,

& then you gain one day.

Above all, learn to cherish the goodness around… and FRIENDS… They all make you feel young &

“wanted”…..Without them, you are

surely to feel lost !!

Stress means the gap between expectations & reality.

More the gap, more the stress.

Expect nothing

& accept everything….

Don’t believe in Tit for Tat rule…

because we can’t bite a dog who has bitten us…so don’t spoil our level just to teach others…..

Moral……

“Think twice..Act wise..” Learn to “LET GO”….

Because You cannot have the next breath until you let go the existing one….

In good spirit,

sickness will cure…

In a happy spirit,

sickness will cure faster..

In high & happy spirits;

sickness will never come…

In a Lighter Vein….

The Blondes are Back !!

A blonde & her husband are lying in bed listening to the next door neighbor's dog. It has been in the

backyard barking for hours & hours. The blonde jumps up out of bed and says, "I've had enough of

this". She goes downstairs.

The blonde finally comes back up to bed and her husband says, "The dog is still barking, what have

you been doing?"

The blonde says, "I put the dog in our backyard ... let's see how THEY like it!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Lisa & Judy were doing some carpenter work on a Habitat for Humanity House. Lisa was nailing

down house siding, would reach into her nail pouch, pull out a nail & either toss it over her shoulder

or nail it in.

Judy, figuring this was worth looking into, asked, 'Why are you throwing those nails away?'

Lisa explained, 'When I pull a nail out of my pouch, about half of them have the head on the wrong

end & I throw them away.' Judy got completely upset & yelled, 'You moron! Those nails aren't

defective! They're for the other side of the house!'

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Did you hear about the two blondes who froze to death in a drive-in movie?

They had gone to see 'Closed for the Winter.'

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

These are just too cute not to pass on….

A blonde was shopping at Target & came across a shiny silver thermos. She was quite fascinated by

it, so she picked it up & took it to the clerk to ask what it was.

The clerk said, 'Why, that's a thermos..... It keeps hot things hot, And cold things cold.'

'Wow, said the blonde, 'that's amazing.....I'm going to buy it!' So she bought the thermos & took it to

work the next day.

Her boss saw it on her desk. 'What's that,' he asked?

'Why, that's a thermos.... It keeps hot things hot & cold things cold,' she replied..

Her boss inquired, 'What do you have in it?' The blond replied......

'Two popsicles & some coffee.'

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST ……

A blonde goes into work one morning crying her eyes out. Her boss asked sympathetically, 'What's

the matter?'

The blonde replies, 'Early this morning I got a phone call saying that my mother had passed away.'

The boss, feeling sorry for her, says, 'Why don't you go home for the day? Take the day off to relax

& rest.' 'Thanks, but I'd be better off here’

I need to keep my mind off it &

I have the best chance of doing that here.'

The boss agrees & allows the blonde to work as usual. A couple of hours pass & the boss decides to

check on the blonde. He looks out from his office & sees the blonde crying hysterically...

'What's so bad now? Are you gonna be okay?' he asks. 'No!' exclaims the blonde.

'I just received a horrible call from my sister. Her mother died, too!'

An interpersonal relationship is a strong, deep, or close association or

acquaintance between two or more people that may range in duration from

brief to enduring. This association may be based on inference, love,

solidarity, regular business interactions, or some other type of social

commitment.

This month we have invited Mr DNB Singh who is a renowned management

consultant, executive trainer and a professional counselor in behavioral

science. With a core competency to motivate, energise and empower

people to superlative performance, Mr Singh is sought after to catalyze

organizations with their transformation process to generate ‘Star

Performers” He has also authored “Killer instinct” which has charged many

young executives to imbibe the winner attitude in the work place.

8th March is International Women’s Day and is dedicated to women.

The sad reality is that we live in an increasingly violent society in which the fear

of crime is ever-present. Personal safety has become an issue of importance for

everyone, especially for women. We felt the demand for reliable safety

information coupled with the need to debunk widespread myths regarding self-

defense measures, hence we have invited Ms Varsha Patil, Police Inspector

(Crime) who is well versed on the topic of self defense. She will guide us on

General awareness on Self Defense & Domestic violence. She will take us

through defending ourselves physically and give us safety tips and rules. So be

there ladies to get wiser on how to safeguard ourselves.

From the Editor’s Desk – Greetings!

I want to thank all contributors as well as readers of our quarterly

newsletter as this is my last column as an editor, a role it has been my

privilege to have held for past one year.

We mostly, wanted to say that we created this newsletter for a very

simple reason, because we love to share and connect. I believe, that we

will be all the poorer if we lack spirited outlets to share stories, entertain

and sustain and hope you to feel the same.

Thanks for all the overwhelming responses and hope to have the same

always.

And that’s all folks. I hope to come back as an editor sometime in future.

Thank you and enjoy reading as always!!

Warm Regards,

UMA
