Page 2: My craft room

June 2006

This was my first craft room.

At this time, we did not want to give up a spare bed. So this futon was purchased new….bad idea, never could get this to work, nor was it comfortable. Ended up giving this away!

Notice the white rain gutter on the wall? This was great! This stored ribbon that would not fit on the ribbon rack my hubby made me.

Always put a smile on my face to see the tissue paper flowers on valiance that Amiee and Ashley created.

I hated those blinds Never would hang properly. Ah! My first Cricut!

Under the banquet table, was always a eyesore!

It became the place for all things without a home!

Had to cut the top part of the hutch off from the cabinet, turn it upside down, so I would have a book shelf on top!

I was so proud of this at the time.

Took the doors off the closet…filled it with plastic storage containers.

So organized, I was…

In a year, I could not open any of the containers on the bottom

Very bad idea…

Reorganized my craft room again. This time, my goal was to have a organized room, that would allow the tables to be used as “project tables” and allow for guests to sleep overnight!

I had to utilize all spaces.

My room is about 10 X 11. Pretty small.

On the back of the bedroom door, I hang my cricut mats.

When the bedroom door is open, my Punch Storage is hidden.

I can shut the door completely, even though my punches are hung on the wall.

These are Ikea towel racks. I think each rack cost 1.99 and a little bit more for the hanging basket.

Cubbie from Ikea. It’s just amazing how much this holds. I can now find all my tools and supplies much faster!

Just behind the cubbies is a metal board I purchased from Ikea. I thought my Nestabilities plates would “stick” to it….nope. I hung a magnetic sheet to it. I plan to use this board for a white board, after I purchase the magnetic knife holder for my Nestabilities.

Hubby built shelf's for my closet and we purchased the Ikea drawers for small things. I sit in this area. All things I grab to work with are centered in this area.

The Pizza boxes house my stamps (still have to decorate them). They are located on the top shelf on the left.

Inside closet. I hung organizers for small things

I separated the two organizers to form a shelf.

On top of a organizer, I stored my cricut cartridges. This photo is only showing the bottom row of cartridges…..good thing, I found SCAL! I don’t even remember the last time I purchased a cartridge!

I have each of the drawers labeled.

Adhesives, cuttlebug, vinyl, embossing, chalks, glitter….etc.

My Stickles, Glimmer Mist and Perfect Pearls are hung under my shelf by velcro dots.

This makes it easy for clean up DURING a project!

In the spray bottle is my simple green.

This rack mostly holds all my pens. I am currently altering food cans (soup, vegetable etc). Notice the calligraphy can is done. I have several can’s off the rack, while the modge pod is drying! My plan is to have all the containers decorated the same.

TV/DVD/Radio

Ink pad storage

Printer/Scanner/FAX

This occasional table from Ikea sits next to the printer. The project table (has cans with pens in it) appears closer to the occasional table than it is. Still working on how to hide my cords from the TV

A place for all my photos!

My craft light lives here, when it is not being used on the project table.

Ah!!!! My Expressions now, has it’s own home!

This allows me to hook up my laptop from the project table to use my software to cut on it.

The software Sure Cuts A lot “SCAL” has saved me tons of money on cartridges!

I am waiting to replace my expressions with the wireless model that should be out this year.

Acrylic Paints and more Ikea cubbies.

Notice I have some upright and some laying on the side.

Page 22: My craft room

Shelf just under ribbon rack! On the bottom shelf, I have papered boxes to house all my 8.5 X 11 and 12 X 12 CS and DP.

Wrapping paper and ribbon storage.

Hubby built this for me! I just love it.

We are using PVC pipe for the rods. As you can tell, the heavy ribbon is bowing the rod. We have not had time to replace the rod with a wooden one…..one more thing to do.

Wrapping this presents this Christmas should be a lot easier!

Ok, in center of room, under the window are two banquet tables. I can choose to use only one, or put both up. I can fold one or both and store under window. If both are folded and put under the window, I can blow up my AeroBed we purchased from COSTCO.

Page 26: My craft room

10 Minutes to put up bed and 7 Minutes to take down! See both craft tables under the window?

I have organized my scrap ribbon in this box. Before cutting from a spool, I check here by color. Using this system has allowed me to use up my scraps. No other way has worked for me.

I save all ribbon scraps….after birthdays and Christmas, my supply is increases!
