MY BACKGROUND HOW I PRIORITIZE MY WELLNESS · college sweetheart, Tami, and our two children,...

MY BACKGROUND I was born and raised in Thomasville, North Carolina. My dad, mom, sister and I were a typical middle-class family. I graduated from East Davidson High School and in 1990 earned a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Today, myself, my college sweetheart, Tami, and our two children, Griffin and Mary Caroline, call Clemmons our home. HOW I PRIORITIZE MY WELLNESS Like the Credit Union, my goal is to prioritize my total wellness. When I’m not going back and forth to my kids’ activities, I do my best to get in a few runs each week. I am also an avid football fan. WHY I BECAME A FINANCIAL ADVISOR My first job was a cost accountant with Burlington Industries. While there, I enrolled in the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNING™ (CFP®) program to learn how to handle my personal finances. After talking to several financial advisors about their profession, in 1992 I decided to start a new career at a private financial planning firm in Greensboro. It’s there where I not only learned how to assess various financial products and align them with clients’ needs, but I also discovered the importance of being an advisor clients can have confidence in. WHY I CHOSE ALLEGACY I feel Working at Allegacy is the best possible place for a financial advisor. We maintain a service-driven – not sales-driven – culture that has enabled me to develop many deep and meaningful client relationships over the years. For me, “career success” is seeing my clients write that last tuition check or sign their retirement papers. The satisfaction on their faces is what inspires me to work hard on their behalf every day. Tracy Duncan, CFP® CFS* Financial Advisor [email protected] 336.794.8466
