Welcome Home, Baby!
I have always wanted to be a parent and I’ve finally had the chance to. I have adopted the molecule or nucleic acid, RNA.

He’s Lovely!
RNA is composed of tender love and kindness, and of course the basics; Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, and Phosphorus.

He’s Adorable!
My baby, RNA, is quite large, but not the largest. It has 3 subunits; phosphate, nucleotide or ribose, and a base.

He’s gonna’ have lots of friends!
RNA contains 3 functional groups; Hydroxyl, Carbonyl, and Amino group.

He’s SO Kind!
RNA is friendly with all the other molecules, but he tends to spend his time with his family, which are known as Nucleic Acids.

He’s Busy!
RNA has many functions. In the hydroxyl function it attracts water molecules and helps dissolve organic compounds such as sugars. In the Carbonyl function it is the most reactive part of the molecule, and lastly the Amino function of the family acts as a base.

Wow!
RNA is full of information. He has a genetic code built into him. Then that code gets sent to the specific protein. Then that protein gets sent to that trait or that place to become useful.

Look what I can do!!
RNA’s can interpret information for the human body or it can carry out it’s genetic code for specific proteins for other important processes in the human body.

MAMMA LOVES YOU!
I would be a good parent for RNA because I know how much I would appreciate him. He is the reason I exist. If I don’t appreciate him I know my genes will die and then I will die. I would be a good parent because I would love him.
