Who are the dinosaurs?The dinosaurs lived on earth there for many years before man appears. We known they have existed with their fossils and some scientists have been studying them.The word dinosaur comes from the Greek language and means «terrible lizard» becausefirst discovered skeletons were those of very large dinosaurs.There are many different dinosaur species, some are huge, some are small, some live in the water and one on land or in the air, some are carnivores and some are herbivores.All of them have names rather complicated as for example Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus, the Pterodactyl and Velociraptor you will discover in this activity book.

Do you know what is a dinosaur fossil? This is the part of the backbone or skeleton of the animal which was preserved for thousands of years in the rock.
