Proposal And Treatment. Genres: The genre I have chosen is ‘Indie Rock’

This music video will be a fictional ‘Narrative’ piece. It will focus on

a man who has just completed a ‘mental’ bucket list after his friends

say he’s boring and needs to live a little. The only thing left is

talking to the girl of his dreams. This video will show his attempt to

do this. Will he do it?

1. This piece will be a ‘Narrative’ music video.

2. A free hand camera will be used as this will bring a better effect

to it; I personally think it will make it look less professional and

more entertaining.

3. The clothing in this video will be very American skater look.

This will include a brightly coloured or black t-shirt, skinnys

or baggy shorts, high-top shoes and a backward snap-back.

4. This will be both shot indoors, outdoors and within vehicles.

5. The prefect conditions for the shooting of this day will start off

rainy and cold. But near to the end slowly getting hotter and at

the very end very rainy.

6. We need an open woody area, busy high street.

7. In this video there will be: the boy waking up, the girl waking

up. Them doing totally different things in the beginning of the

video. They go out to the same place, and she doesn’t notice

him as he is a nerd. Throughout the video it shows how he tries

to get her and she takes no notice. So he starts to change and it

shows how the more he changes the more he gets noticed and

at the end they end up properly noticing each other and fall in

love.

8. The boy will at first be in nerdy clothes and will eventually

turn into an American Skater boy (looking Cool), she always

look beautiful and stunning and wear amazing clothes.

9. We will use shot-reverse-shot to show most of the talking and

most of the ignorance that the girl shows him.

1. The Amount of Equipment and the price of the equipment

needed. - I will need to use the equipment available and make

do with what I have. I will need to use the equipment available

2. I am worried I won’t be able to find suitable actors to be in my

music video. – I will need to look harder and maybe ask friends

that aren’t in media.

3. I don’t think I will have enough time to complete the music

video. – I will need to put more of my own time into doing this

music video.

4. I don’t really have the right weather to do the music video I

wanted. – I may need to edit my video so the weather matches

what happens.

5. Getting to and from scenes. – need to make the scenes easily

find and accessible.

6. The finding of scenes and sets to use. – spend a long time

looking for the perfect set.
