Special Football Announcement: Next Tuesday our middle school football teams will be playing Haverford Middle School under the lights at

Haverford High School. They have a turf field; however, you do not need to get any special shoes.

The 115 lb. team will play at 6:00 PM and the Unlimited team will follow at approximately 7:15 PM.

After the first game, the 115’s should be arriving back to Rutgers Ave. locker room at approximately 7:45—

8:00 PM. Please be there to pick your child up, there is no activity run. If you would like, the bus will also

take kids back to the middle school where you can pick up your child.

Please make sure someone is there at the times noted. It is your responsibility to pick up your child in a

timely manner.

If you are a parent of an Unlimited player, you can expect the team to arrive back at Rutgers by about 9:00

PM—9:15 PM. Please follow the procedure as described for the parents of the 115 lb. team.

What: 8th Grade Volleyball Night

Date: 11/14/2013 (6:00 PM until 8:30 PM)

Location: SHMS Gym

*************************************************************

SHMS is currently hosting 15 eighth grade students and two teachers from Dante Gymnasium (a college pre-

paratory school) in Munich, Germany. These are true exchanges where students live with each other for ten

days. It is something German students look forward to each year.—Frau Rousse (SHMS German Teacher)

Field Hockey and Soccer Announcement:

Parents of field hockey and soccer: The games that were originally scheduled to be played on

October 31st have been moved to Wednesday, October 30th for obvious reasons.

One thing that the all parents should be aware of, if you choose to take your child home after

their game, you may do so, but we need a written note advising the coaches and myself , as you

are not to take anyone else's child with you even if their parent asks you or sends a note.

Along those same lines it is the responsibility of the parent to be here at the middle school to

pick up your child when the buses return from the games.

Field hockey parents - the team bus should be returning by 7:30/7:45 PM.

Soccer parents - the team bus should be returning by 9:30/9:45 PM.

Here is the schedule for the October 30th games vs. Garnet Valley.

7th grade boys and girls soccer will be played here at the Strath Haven MS soccer fields. Both

teams will play at the same time. Game time is 3:30 PM.

7th and 8th grade field hockey will play at GV. The team bus will leave at 4:00 pm. If your

child goes home after school on that day you must have her back before the bus leaves. The 7th

grade will play first at 5:00 PM and the 8th grade will follow at 6 PM. Both games will be at

Garnet Valley High School.

The 8th grade boys and girls soccer teams will also play at Garnet Valley High School with

the busses leaving SHMS at 6:00 PM. The 8th grade boys will play at 7:00 PM followed by the

8th grade girls at 8:00 PM.

Thank you for your support in what should be a great night for all of the athletes!
