What parts of the magazine interest me?

• I like the way the lead image has quotes from the interview worked into it, as it gives the reader a taste of the interview.

• I like the colour scheme of red and black throughout the whole magazine, and it generally keeps to a house style with the exception of a few features.

• The types of articles featured in Q magazine reflect the target audiences interests and musical interests.

• On the contents page all the features are above the regulars and have photos next to the name of the story that will be included in that article. Unlike the features, the regulars do not have any images beside them but have an article description beneath.

What parts of the magazine interest me?

• The masthead is very recognisable, the font is bold and clear to read.

• The cover line reflects the mood of the image, Mark Skinner looks upset and the cover line says “Why so glum?”

• The house style stays mostly constant throughout but the colour scheme varies.

What parts of the magazine interest me?

• Even though the Masthead is covered up slightly it can still be identified as Kerrang by the Text type and Text brushes to create that Rocky look.

• The Lead line uses a different font to everything else so it will stand out more.

• On the front cover It advertises posters inside the magazine which will encourage the audience to buy it.

• It keeps to a red and Black colour scheme throughout the magazine.
