Thank you for joining us in this beautiful theatre for Little Theatre

Company’s production of Legally Blonde.

It’s always an exciting time for us when we get to take on a new challenge and this is the 7th consecutive production in which we have taken on a show we have

never performed before. The high energy levels required for this show, along with the big musical numbers and demanding dance routines have made for a tough but highly enjoyable

rehearsal process and I couldn’t be more proud of the work our members have put in to bring this fabulous show to you.

The show stays faithful to the film that gained such a cult following, so you can expect to leave the theatre with the same uplifted feeling people have come to expect from Legally Blonde. If you are new

to the story, you really do have a treat in store.

I hope you can join us next month, up stairs in the Dixon Studio, where we will be performing the hilarious “Abigail’s Party”. The whole company will then be back in October, where we take on

another “first” for us and something completely different, “Jekyll & Hyde”. If you enjoyed our production of Dracula a few years back, you will love this fabulously dark show.

Thank you, once again, for joining us for this performance and thank you for supporting local theatre. Enjoy the show. SNAPS!

ELLE WOODS

Eleanore is 21 and is currently training for a BA (Hons) in Creative Performance (Acting) having previously trained with Scott Williams in the Meisner Technique at the Actors’ Centre, London.

Her theatre credits include Agent A (Shakespeare’s Library – Strangeworks, Barbican London), Maureen (Rent! – Palace Theatre) and featured roles (The Wedding Singer – Collective Productions, Palace Theatre). Roles whilst training include Marie (The Woyzeck Project), Alice Ayers (Closer), Telephone Operator/Counsellor (San Diego), Jill (The Birds), Amalia (Methusalem) and Sylvia Plath (Becoming Esther).

“Legally Blonde” is one of Eleanore’s favourite musicals - Elle Woods being her dream role. She is delighted to have the opportunity to portray her on the Palace Theatre stage as a proud new member of LTC.

EMMETT FORREST

Olly has been involved in musical theatre for a number of years.

Before joining LTC, he was a member of LODS and was lucky enough to play some fantastic characters, including Ren (Footloose), Radames (Aida) and Cratchitt (A Christmas Carol). He also worked with other production companies, playing Beast (Beauty and the Beast), The Arbiter (Chess), Mr. Darling (Peter Pan) and Jaime (The Last Five Years). Following the success of the first production, a second production of “The Last Five Years” was produced professionally at The Buxton Opera House in June 2015, for which Olly reprised his leading role.

Outside of musical theatre Olly has recently taken part in a number of Big Band Tours across the UK, focusing primarily on Glenn Miller.

MARGOT

Victoria joined LTC in 2012 and made her debut in the ensemble for “Dracula”: “Legally Blonde” marks her 9th show with the company. Her proudest, yet most challenging role to date has been that of the Baker’s Wife in LTC’s recent production of “Into the Woods”.

By day Victoria works as an Event Manager but loves nothing more than being on stage with the fab. people at LTC!

PAULETTE BONIFONTE

“Legally Blonde” will be Lianne’s 14th show with LTC since joining in 2008.

Over the last 7 years she has been lucky enough to play a variety of fantastic roles, which include Mimsie (Summer Holiday), Lottie (Mac & Mabel), Ronette (Little Shop of Horrors), Maggie Jones (42nd Street), Alexandra Spofford (Witches of Eastwick) and, most recently, Cinderella’s Stepmother (Into the Woods).

Paulette is a fantastic comedy role and Lianne is thrilled to be playing the part alongside this talented cast. She’s particularly excited about learning to ‘Bend and Snap’ and hopes she doesn’t do it literally!

SERENA

Eleanor graduated from Masters Performing Arts College. She then went on to travel the world, working professionally as a female vocalist/dancer in various productions (TED Talent/Thomson/Sensatori). She was lucky enough to spend 6 months in New York at Long Lake for the Arts as Entertainment Director and Assistant Choreographer. Now back at home, Eleanor coaches singers and she also teaches dance and drama workshops.

This is Eleanor’s first show with LTC and she is very excited to be a part of ‘Legally Blonde’.

PROFESSOR CALLAGHAN

This will be Paul’s 13th show with LTC. During this time he has played a number of principal roles, including Josephine (Some Like it Hot), Zangler (Crazy for You), Julian Marsh (42nd Street 2004 & 2013), Adam Pontipee (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers), Drake & Greylag (Honk) and Fred (Kiss me Kate). He was also Chorus Master for LTC’s NODA Award-winning production of “42nd Street” (2004) and “Crazy for You”.

Paul has always had a passion for the performing arts and started his music career at the age of 10 playing the tuba. He went on to graduate from the University of Brighton with an Honours Degree in Performing Arts. Since then his varied interests have included conducting the local choir, Allegro, and actually performing in choral, operatic, orchestral and brass band works.

PILAR

“Legally Blonde” is Louisa’s 4th production with LTC. Credits include Lucy the Slut (Avenue Q), shy bookworm Sukie Rougemont (Witches of Eastwick) and Cinderella in LTC’s most recent production (Into the Woods).

Away from musical theatre, Louisa is an accomplished singer/songwriter releasing original material and playing music festivals around the UK. She is currently one half of electro music project ‘Apachelux’.

WARNER HUNTINGTON III

This will be Tobias’s 4th show with LTC and he hopes to continue with many more in the future.

He has been performing in plays and musicals since he was 8 years old and has had the wonderful opportunity to play many leading roles, including Tony (West Side Story), Joseph (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Michael (The Witches of Eastwick), Sammy (Sunset Boulevard), Jacob in the first performance of the brand new musical ‘SAMSON’ and, most recently, Jack in LTC’s 2015 production of ‘Into The Woods’.

Tobias is thoroughly enjoying working with this talented cast and crew, and is especially looking forward to playing the anti-hero Warner, a very different role from those that he usually portrays.

VIVIENNE KENSINGTON

Reanne is a 19 year old student studying Musical Theatre. The Performing Arts have been her main interest for as long as she can remember – indeed, she took her first ballet class at the age of 2 and trained at the Morgan Academy of Performing Arts until the age of 18.

She has performed on various stages in London, including Her Majesty’s Theatre, with the award-winning glee and dance troupe Shoebury Dynamix, and has played numerous roles in different productions throughout the years, such as Anita (West Side), Dorothy (Wizard of Oz), Rusty (Footloose) and Dolly (Hello Dolly).

She is very excited to be involved in her first LTC show, playing the role of Vivienne.

KYLE

Before joining the company in 2012 John worked in film and television and in advertisements for Calpol and British Telecom. “Legally Blonde” will be John’s 5th production with LTC. His previous roles have included Rooster (Honk), Bad Idea Bear (Avenue Q), Fidel (The Witches of Eastwick) and Manfred (Sunset Boulevard).

He is looking forward to playing this comical cameo role and parading around in his tightest pants!

CARLOS

“Legally Blonde” is Julian’s 8th show with LTC. He has played leading roles, including Trekkie (Avenue Q), Bernard (Boeing Boeing) and Narrator/Mysterious Man (Into the Woods). He is now delighted to be playing the role of Carlos and to be part of such a fabulous show.

Julian currently serves as an elected member on the LTC Committee.

SUNDEEP PADAMADAN

/ NIKOS / GRANDMASTER

CHAD

“Legally Blonde” is a milestone for Chris as it will be his 10th show with LTC since joining in 2012. He has enjoyed playing some fantastic parts for LTC, his most recent being Rapunzel’s Prince (Into the Woods), as well as being an Assistant Director and getting involved in building sets.

He now can’t wait to play these hilarious cameos in “Legally Blonde”.

AARON SCHULTZ

Jamie has been performing on stage since the age of 11. This is his 14th show with LTC and he has been fortunate to play many leading roles over the years, including Dennis (All Shook Up), Anthony (Sweeney Todd), Princeton (Avenue Q), and more recently, The Baker (Into the Woods).

CHUTNEY

WINDHAM

Rebecca began performing as a child in school plays and local events. She then went on to appear in plays such as Vinegar Tom and The Snow Queen with her university Theatre Arts Society.

Earlier this year, Rebecca took on her dream role of Little Red Riding Hood (Into The Woods) and she cannot wait to return to the stage as Chutney!

BROOKE WYNDHAM

“Legally Blonde” is Gemma’s 13th show with LTC and, after taking a break from the stage to work behind the scenes over the last 12 months, she is enjoying getting back to her roots to play the energetic Brooke in this large scale all-singing, all-dancing production.

Gemma trained in the arts from a young age at Wendy Headford’s South East Theatre School (SETS) and previously worked as a street dance teacher. She has been one of LTC’s principal dancers since her arrival at the company in 2009 and has also played a variety of character roles over the years including Sandra (All Shook Up), Phyllis (42nd Street), Fluff (Honk!), Bad Idea Bear (Avenue Q) and Gina Marino (The Witches of Eastwick). She was LTC’s Choreographer for “All Shook Up” in 2012 and, more recently, for their 2015 production of “Sunset Boulevard”.

Gemma also serves on the Committee as Communications Officer and manages the Little Theatre Company social networking sites.

ENID HOOPES

“Legally Blonde” marks Kate’s 7th production with LTC. She joined the company in October 2013 as part of the ensemble in ‘Witches of Eastwick’. Since then she has enjoyed many featured ensemble roles within the Company and recently took on the part of Florinda (Into the Woods), one of Cinderella’s mean sisters, who ended up quite the worse for wear by the end of the show!

Kate began performing at the age of 3 at the Pamela Freedman School of Dance and went on to study Performing arts at both College and University level. During this period she had the opportunity to dance for Dizzee Rascal in his ‘Bonkers’ music video and then for the Olympic Opening Ceremony. She currently works in Leigh as a Primary School Reception Class Teacher.

She is excited to be playing the part of Enid Hoopes and is looking forward to letting her inner feminist out!

KATE

Alice has performed with many dramatic societies from a very young age and hopes to pursue a career in acting. Having played Jennifer (The Witches of Eastwick) last year, Alice couldn’t resist returning to LTC to perform again with such a fantastic company.

As a gigging musician, Ashton has played for shows including “The Wiz”, “Les Miserables”, “West Side Story”, “A Chorus Line” and “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, in venues as varied as the Echo Arena (Liverpool), the Ritz Hotel (London) and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has also played with West End stars including Hugh Maynard, Rachelle Ann Go and ITV Superstar’s Nathan James. As a featured solo vocalist, Ashton has performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre and the Barbican Centre in London.

An active composer, Ashton composed several songs for the National Lottery-funded musical “A Hundred Shining Hearts”, and produced, directed and conducted a concert performance of his first full musical, “Samson”, in 2015. Most recently, he was a national finalist in the Perfect Pitch 2015/6 Composing Award, adjudicated by Michael Ball and David Baddiel.

LIGHTING DESIGNER

Mark is a designer/programmer based in Essex/London. He has designed a variety of musicals from “Les Miserables” to “The Wedding Singer”. Currently he works for a lighting company called Neg Earth where he supports artists like Take That and Ed Sheeran for all their technical lighting needs.

He is looking forward to working with LTC on “Legally Blonde”.

SOUND DESIGNER

Harry is excited to be working with LTC again on “Legally Blonde”. It is his 5th show with LTC and his 3rd as sound designer.

He has worked with many local theatrical companies over the last few years both as sound designer and assistant. He works regularly at the Palace Theatre backstage and is looking forward to working his way up the ‘sound ladder’ towards West End theatres. Harry is looking forward to making this show’s sound quality the very best.

MARK SMITH

HARRY REGAN

CHOREOGRAPHER

Laura has been with LTC for the past 3 years, making her debut as choreographer for “42nd Street” in 2013. Since then she has had the privilege to perform in a variety of wonderful shows presented by the company. One of the many highlights from her time with LTC was earlier this year, when she played the rather flirtatious American, Gloria, in the hilarious play ‘Boeing Boeing’

She is delighted to return to the role of choreographer for “Legally Blonde” and is also lucky enough to be able to perform as a Delta Nu, alongside the rest of this incredible cast. Choreographing as well as performing has, at times, presented challenges, but she has no doubt that it has been worth it. The preparation has been high energy and brilliant fun, making this show one of Laura’s favourites!

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

This is Laura’s 10th year as a member of LTC and she has loved every minute of it.

She has been lucky enough to play some brilliant roles over this time, including Barbara/Bobby (Summer Holiday), Chiffon (Little Shop of Horrors), Natalie/Ed (All Shook Up), Beaky (Honk!), Kate Monster (Avenue Q) and most recently, feisty Italian Gabriella (Boeing Boeing).

Pregnancy ruled Laura out of appearing in “Legally Blonde”. However, as she loves the show, she jumped at the chance to be part of the production team. This is Laura’s 3rd show as assistant director, having previously taken on the same role for our productions of “42nd Street” and “Avenue Q”. She is immensely proud of this show and what the cast, crew and production team have been able to achieve.

Laura is currently serving her 4th term on LTC’s committee as Social Entertainments Manager.

PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER

Tony studied Electrical Engineering at Southend-on-Sea Technical College, and has enjoyed assisting many local amateur drama groups on the technical side ever since. He has been involved in a wide range of managing, making and mending things back stage.

He joined LTC as a spotlight operator on ‘Mack and Mabel’, and was then Stage Manager for ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, ‘South Pacific’, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and ‘All Shook Up’. He managed the production, stage managed and sound engineered for ‘Calendar Girls’ as well as building the letter-dropping device and various props. Tony also stage managed ‘42nd Street’, ‘HONK!’ and ‘Witches of Eastwick’ and designed the sound for LTC’s 2015 production of ‘Into the Woods’.

He is really looking forward to being back at the Palace Theatre again as Production Stage Manager for this production of ‘Legally Blonde’.

COSTUME DESIGNER

This is the 8th show for which Bradley has been part of the production team. He previously directed ‘The Witches of Eastwick’, ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ and ‘All Shook Up’. He also helped costume these shows along with ‘42nd Street’. He was Creative Director on ‘HONK!’, which included being responsible for the visual look of the show including the set and costume design, a job he relished.

On stage Bradley has performed many varied roles in a great number of shows, including The Bull Frog (HONK!), The Big Bopper (Buddy), Beadle Bamford (Sweeney Todd), Ali Hakim (Oklahoma!), Fattie Arbuckle (Mack & Mabel), Nicely Nicely (Guys and Dolls), Francis Fryer (Calamity Jane) and Rene (‘Allo ‘Allo).

As well as performing and directing, Bradley designs all of the LTC publicity material and programmes. He has now won the NODA award for ‘Best Deluxe Programme’ for LTC three times – an achievement of which he is very proud.

LITTLE THEATRE COMPANY

IS PROUD SUPPORT

equalpeople.org.uk

Equal People Performing Arts was established in 2005, shortly after the Mushroom Theatre Company was set up, with the intention of promoting the benefits of the performing arts, alongside the aim of creating a fully

inclusive Theatre Company for the community.

The National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA)Founded in 1899, is the main representative body for amateur theatre in the UK. It has a membership of some 2500 amateur/community theatre groups and 3000 individual enthusiasts throughout the UK, staging musicals, operas, plays, concerts and pantomimes in a wide variety of performing venues, ranging from the country’s leading professional theatres to village halls. Members have access to a wide range of benefits.

NODA is divided into eleven national Regions, each headed by a Region Councillor who sits on the Council (the ruling body of the Association), supported by a network of Regional Representatives and other volunteers. These volunteers are the vital link to the grass roots of the Association and the amateur theatre companies themselves. The Association is administered from its Headquarters in Peterborough, with knowledgeable and friendly staff able to deal with virtually any enquiry relating to amateur theatre.

There is a broad spectrum of ages involved with amateur theatre nationwide, from a burgeoning number of youth groups to adult companies, which meet the needs of all levels of both performers, whether dramatic or musical, and enthusiasts involved backstage, front of house or in administration.

NODA aims: To give a shared voice to the amateur theatre sector • To help amateur societies and individuals achieve the highest standards of best practice and performance • To provide leadership and advice to enable the amateur theatre sector to tackle the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century
