Our track used only bass, it was slow and melodic. The use of this simple bass repetition creates a cool, noir theme. Even though we kept the second half of our footage quite the first half sets the type of film this will be, dark and suited to our audience. The reason we decided to keep our second half quiet was so that the audience could hear every clink of the tools and the breathing of the interrogated suspect. We decided to use brass instruments early on, saxophone, trumpet ecs. However the teacher who was meant to be helping us fell ill and we had to change plans quite quickly. At first we though about using piano to create a melodic eerie riff, the only issue being that it seemed to high key- so as a result we wet back to ‘Garage Band’ and composed a relatively simple tune to fit over our chase scene.
