Thank you for your ongoing support and to our amazing teaching and non-teaching staff for their unwavering dedication and commitment to our school this semester as always. Last day for students is Friday 3 July. Monday 20 July is a School Development Day with students K-6 returning Tuesday 21 July. Wishing you all a safe and happy break. Keep safe so we can continue to ease our restrictions at school and see more of you in Term 3 and beyond. Please note: On School Development Day, our front office staff will be involved in Professional Learning. Therefore our front office will be open for enquiries from 9:00-10:00 and 2:00-3:00. This includes purchas- es from our Uniform Shop. End of term mufti day Our SRC will be hosting an end of term celebration in the form of a mufti day and in school disco (students are to wear enclosed shoes, no midriff tops). There is no cost. Canteen have a meal deal, please see ad on page 3. Semester 1 student reports Student reports will be sent to families by Week 3 of next term. As previously communicated, the report will be a modified version of our traditional report due to remote learning this semester. Students will not receive an A-E grade, but will be provided with feedback about their engagement with learning and future learning. While our report is modified, teachers have spent a great deal of time to ensure you are receiving a purposeful and accurate report for you child’s learning this semester. To ensure these are done to our usual high standard, we have utilised an additional two weeks of the six weeks provided to communicate your child’s progress this semester. Parent Teacher meetings are scheduled next term. Bookings can be made at: www.schoolinterviews.com.au Term 3 operations As time progresses the restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic are beginning to be eased. Activities that will be allowed from the beginning of Term 3 will include: - All school sports activities including those aligned with health advice; - Inter-school student events and competitions such as choirs, sport, debating, public speaking, performing arts; - P&C Meetings which will be a mix of both in-person and online; and - University practicum and high school student work experience placements. Activities under consideration from the beginning of Term 3 will include: - school camps and excursions; - parent attendance at school assemblies; - parent volunteers - e.g. reading helpers; and - large community gatherings.
