Background Summer Company, a provincially-funded program designed to assist young entrepreneurs learn what it takes to run a business, assisted 11 student entrepreneurs across Chatham-Kent in summer 2018. Comments In place of a summer job, students between the ages of 15-29 years of age have the opportunity to be their own boss. All that’s required is a good summer company idea, commitment, and hard work. In return, students receive hands on coaching from local mentor groups (business consultant, accountant, lawyer, banker and marketing professionals) and an opportunity to receive an award of up to $3,000 to assist with start-up costs and working capital over the course of the summer. Background

Summer Company, a provincially-funded program designed to assist young entrepreneurs learn what it takes to run a business, assisted 11 student entrepreneurs across Chatham-Kent in summer 2018.

Comments

In place of a summer job, students between the ages of 15-29 years of age have the opportunity to be their own boss. All that’s required is a good summer company idea, commitment, and hard work. In return, students receive hands on coaching from local mentor groups (business consultant, accountant, lawyer, banker and marketing professionals) and an opportunity to receive an award of up to $3,000 to assist with start-up costs and working capital over the course of the summer.
