Thanks to all of the students and parents who were involved in the ANZAC ceremonies yesterday. I was very proud of the 100 students who marched with the RSL diggers. We have received a lot of very positive feedback about the commitment shown by our students on this very sacred day. School Growth School Growth School Growth School Growth Last week I sent home a letter indicating that we have a growing school community. First day of Term 2 we enrolled 14 new students, another 2 students have enrolled today. I have been in constant communication with our District Office to determine if this growth would indicate the addition of a new staff member. Currently at this stage it does not. What this means in the primary school is a realignment of the classes into composite classes to accommodate the extra students. The new classes will be as follows: Prep = 27 Stays as is Year 1/2 = 25 (21-4) Year 2/3 = 24 (17-7) Year 3/4= 26 (17-9) Year 4/5=26 (20-6) Year 5/6= 26 (7-19) Staff have identified students within the current structure who would benefit most from this realignment. I have a list of these names and I will contact all families individually before you receive this notice. Staff have been working hard to make this transition as seamless as possible and I am confident that the students will make a positive start as of Monday 30 th April. I will be available for discussion Friday this week and all next week. I also will be at school for the parent teacher interviews if you would like to discuss anything then.
