Dear Parents, Welcome back to Term 3. I hope that everyone had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and are ready for a very busy and exciting term. We have a lot of very enjoyable and exciting events planned for this term and are hopeful that you are able to join us for some or all of these. On the back of this newsletter is a calendar of events so far for this term. Please keep it handy and add to it if and when needed. The publishing dates for newsletters for this term will be, once again, every second week and will be on July 30th, August 13th and 27th and September 10th. Some of the major events planned for this term include: Education Week - Open Day and Mini Fair 28th July, Stage 1 Excursion to Orange Theatre, 1st August, Commonwealth Games Day, 22nd August and our tri-annual Arts and Craft Show - Mulyan By Hand, 5th September. Kindergarten Enrolment We are calling for the names of any students starting Kindergarten in 2015. Please contact the school, as soon as possible, to have your child’s name placed on our list of students. It is important we get accurate figures as our staffing and funding depends on these numbers. Also, if you know of anyone who has children starting Kindergarten next year, please let them know about our school and get them to come and have a look at our school to see what we have to offer. Voluntary Contribution A very valuable source of income for our school are voluntary contributions (school fees). If these have not already been paid, please endeavour to get this done as soon as possible. The money raised goes towards purchasing valuable classroom equipment for all students to use. Our contributions are set at a very reasonable $48 per student or $50 for a family. Staffing A couple of staff members will be taking some long service leave early this term. Mrs Ryan will be away for 4 weeks and her class will be taught by Ms Louise Sims. Mrs Ryan will return to school on Monday, 11th August. Also, Mrs Cummings will commence her leave on Monday, 21st July and 4C will be taught by Ms Casey Chalker. Mrs Cummings will return to school on Wednesday, 20th August. As other staffing changes take place I will keep you informed. Primary Sport Choices A note was sent home yesterday regarding primary sport choices. Please note there has been a change in the instructor for the dance option. Lisa Core will be taking the group instead of Larissa Pullen.
