Gas Connection | Service Connection Request (SCR)

1. Need to ensure that natural gas is available in your street/location. To find out you can download the list from our Multinet Gas Website (www.multinetgas.com.au) with the metering pressure available.

2. You will need to request a new gas SCR through a valid gas retailer (submit your application – usually between the slab/frame and lock up stage & also provide an accurate “lock up” date).

3. The gas retailer will issue a SCR with Multinet Gas for the installation of the gas service line to your property.

4. This will be allocated to one of our network planners who will visit the site to assess the location of the new gas service & the status of build (please ensure finish ground level is clearly marked).

5. Once the site is ready, this will then be dispatched to our field contractor for installation of the gas service (approx. 20 business days).

• Address of property (Lot & House number) is clearly visible and signage is clear from the street

• No Scaffolding or other material that will not give clear access

• Be aware that location of bin/toilet may impact the ability to install the gas service

• Need a separate conduit – 300mm clearance from other utilities (eg water, electricity, telco, NBN etc.) – min 450mm depth of cover

Gas Connection | Meter Fix Request (MFX)

1. Once the service is installed, we will advise the retailer who issued the SCR

2. When ready to raise the MFX you will need to contact a retailer to set up your account and request a meter fix and provide all the relevant information (e.g. COC and cust details)

3. Your retailer will then issue a MFX request with Multinet Gas

4. Once the MFX is received and all information is accurate, we will dispatch our fitter to install the meter on site (usually within 1 business day)

5. Note that the positon and fitting line will be assessed and if not compliant, it not be installed

6. When installation is completed at the site, Multinet Gas will close this off in our system and the respective retailer is updated accordingly

• ID tags are required on group gas metering installations (e.g. gas meter rack)

• UV Coating required for composite piping (for UV protection)
