Multimedia Projects: Level 1New Haven Academy is interested in recruiting

students from Spanish-speaking countries to come to study at NHA for a year. Your task is to create a recruitment video in which you describe your typical week at NHA and talk about at least one class in detail. Your classmates will view all of the videos and rate them on their value as a recruitment video.

Multimedia Projects: Level 2The school’s principals are accepting proposals

for a new freshman curriculum at New Haven Academy. Your task is to create a new schedule for the school and to create at least one NEW featured class OR after-school activity. You will create a persuasive video that your classmates will watch and vote on. The top proposal from each class will be presented to the principals for consideration.

Multimedia Projects: Level 2The level 2 project (intermediate level) is similar

to the level 1 project but it allows students room for creativity / individual learning as they discover the vocabulary necessary to talk about one non-traditional class that they propose for the upcoming school year. Last year my students chose classes such as cooking class, choir, martial arts class, technology, etc.

Multimedia Projects: Level 3You are the recruitment director for an

academic summer camp. You will create a recruitment video for your camp for Spanish-speaking (or Spanish-learner) recruits. Talk about the academics offered at the camp as well as the recreational opportunities. Get creative! Your camp can be in the United States, or in a Spanish-speaking country. Your classmates will watch the camp videos and “enroll” in the camp that sounds most appealing.

Multimedia Projects: Level 3

The level 3 project really allows for creativity. It is very challenging for the average student. One suggestion is to have students work together to create the level three project, a camp recruitment video.
