a) Etkiye göre:i. Yavaş etki halinde akma ve kırılma kriterleriii. Tekrarlı yükler halinde akma ve kırılma kriterleriiii. Dinamik yükler halinde akma ve kırılma kriterleri

b) Sıcaklığa göre:i. Normal sıcaklıkta akma ve kırılma kriterleriii. Yüksek sıcaklıkta akma ve kırılma kriterleriiii. Düşük sıcaklıkta akma ve kırılma kriterleri

Burada normal sıcaklıkta yavaş etki hali için akma ve kırılma kriterleri dikkate alınacaktır.

Malzemelerde Akma ve Kırılma

Gevrek malzemelerde akma hemen-hemen hiç görülmez. Yükleme artırıldığında, ani bir kopma veya kırılma meydana gelir. (Şekil-1.a)Sünek malzemelerde ise, yükleme belirli bir değeri geçtiğinde, önce akma başlar, belirli bir plastik şekil değiştirmeden sonra kopma olur. (Şekil-1.b)
